Tive uma excelente oportunidade e experiência de vida, tendo sido acolhida, orientada e integrante de uma equipe de pessoas generosas e profissionais.

Thanks for this experience.I had a great and kind hostfamily where I was living.Its amazing to get to know much more about the culture and people in Peru.The Sightseeing were amazing .It was taff to walk up but at the end I made it. The time with the kids were great, even if I didn't speak Spanish fluent.Bodylanguage can help. You will grow at this time and will take nice memories with you.

I went 2 months to Sri Lanka to the Women Empowerment Programme.
It was the most fulfilling experience I have ever had. I really recommend the programme and the place.
The house and village were amazing, you have so many things to do and you have the possibility to travel and know the country and culture.
I loved it!

This was my second time with VolSol and it didn't dissapoint. The GK1 Sblock house t is such a nice accomodation, so big and clean and full of great energy. Shankar was great all along tthe way, helping with everything and with a smile and so much work. Also the dinner cook was really nice, her food was delicious!!
Sahil and Rajiv in the introduction day were also good, passionate about India and willing to help with any trip. Sahil helped me travelling to Goa, Jodhpur and Ranthambore and I'm super grateful to him.
That said, there're some things that seemed odd. When the rest of volunteers and I arrive at the slum school (Okhla phase 2) we didn't know ANYTHING of the kids. Their background, age, english level, maths level, current situation...everything was so chaotic that it felt as we couldn't help in anything. We didn't know that some kids went to school, if we had known we would have helped them doing homework or preparing exams, we wouldn't have written them more homework. Also, we didn't know what kind of material the school had so things were more difficult that previously thought. ALL VOLUNTEERS think that for the future it will be for the best:
1-inform prior to the arrival of the volunteers of the material the school need, more throughly about each school, the background, what kind of children go there (school, no ?) and then in the introduction day talk again about that or previous volunteers experiences and tips. If we want the best for the kids we felt this was necessary, previous experiences are super helpful.
2-About Sunita, tell her more about what she has to do: present the kids (maybe tell the kids to say their names in the 1st day) and divide the work with us or prepare classes in advance. Also, they told us there was another teacher apart from Sunita, because when she was absent we would have liked to continue going to the school (i only went two weeks and some days out of the 4 weeks i was supposed to help there...) but no other teacher appeared so i don't know what happened.
3- At last and this doesn't have to do with the project, the curtfew that you say its not a curtfew. We understand that is a really different country to Europe or western in general, but we felt like in primary school. Some days we wanted to go for a drink in the weekend or maybe visit something and come later than 10 pm but we couldn't. There was a guy living with Sahil and Rajiv and he was forty years old and he couldn't go out with us because of this...I think all the volunteers at that moment, we were aware of the nightlife and everything but it felt as if we were kids again and people who were 40 or 50 felt this way, so we didn't think this was right. I understand younger people come and maybe they are not really responsible or aware but it doesn't have to be so stiff. If the house is full with a nice not so young group, things could be flexible. Our opinion :)
All the experience was really nice overall!!

i volunteered in the Street Children program. From the very first day I met the children, I felt a sense of belonging and the experience is undoubtably very rewarding. Helping the children is a great challenge which I am looking forward to take again in the very near future.

Great experience, the staff in the volunteer house do a great job, organizing trips and little celebrations and making sure you feel comfortable, the project with the dogs is lovely, even though you can feel how the managers there have too much to do to be always available to the volunteers.

Had the most amazing time in Cambodia teaching English!! Great communication from the company and had great fun! The kids were amazing, and I hope I made a difference, as well as having the freedom to explore on the weekends!

This was an amazing experience! Our coordinator/host, Uma, and her family were very gracious and immersed us into their family and culture. We were served most of our meals at the host house. Everything was delicious. Uma arranged our excursions in and around Katmandu providing a driver and a guide. Uma also arranged and paid for our weekend trip to pohkara where we stayed in a nice hotel. Our weekend guide met us at the bus and we had a driver there as well. The one disappointing aspect was that we only got to work with children three of the days we were there. I think that was in part because we were there during their biggest festival.

Definitely one of the most amazing and life changing experience I've ever had in my life.

I am from Jordan and I volunteered at an orphanage in Arusha Tanzania.
On my arrival,I have been welcomed by Local coordinator. The Coordinators were always available and in contact with us, they also arranged for us the transportation to the orphanage.

I volunteered at venerate orphanage, i have taught the kids english and maths, played with them and we also cooked for them.

The kids are sweet, smart , talented and full of life4s. Each kid has different story, different personality and for sure different future. I wish for them a successful and peaceful future.

In our free time, we played football with kids, we went to forest, to local restaurants and to the museum . Also, we visited Massai tribe and for sure went to Tanzanian Safari which is Inhabited by the "Big Five".

The safari trip was well organized; we had an amazing specialized guide, good services and even strong internet coverage in the middle of the parks!

People in Tanzania are nice, open minded and caring of each other.

This experience was amazing, touching and full of culture . I learnt alot from the kids.

Everything was well organized, highly recommended.

My two sons - 15 years old and 17 years old went volunteering in Cape Town from Volunteering Solutions. I can't say enough how wonderful and life changing experience they have obtained! It was a great opportunity for boys at Ellerton Primary School to see the world from different prospective and feel the vibes of different continent! I strongly believe that these kind of life experiences build their their root memories and will definitely shape them as compassionate and caring people in their future lives.

I had the most incredible experience in Arusha, Tanzania. My medical placement was extremely beneficial and rewarding. Masimba, who was in charge of looking after the volunteers was amazing ! Cannot fault my experience

My daughter and I volunteered for 2-weeks at the Kwantu Wilderness Reserve outside of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. We were there during their winter.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE: Kwantu staff loved sharing what they do and got along with all the different personalities in our group; the work experiences were fun and made an impact on the needs of the reserve; the early morning and night drives were wonderful - and yes, we saw the Big 5; feeding the lions was a treat; our meals were wonderful and I appreciated when Mama Africa reminded all that we need to share to make sure all got food and not waste food; I appreciated the warm blanket that was provided as the dorm temperature dropped at night; the wood-burning stove was welcomed in the community meeting area attached to the dorm; a Kwantu guide (who also drove us on our work details and safaris) picked us up from the airport and we hung out (and met) other volunteers) at a lodge in town until we headed to the reserve. I appreciated that Kwantu provided travel to and from Port Elizabeth on the weekends, allowing time for excursions.

The Kwantu staff and the other volunteers we met made our time special. The Kwantu Wildlife Reserve is for all ages. Me, being the oldest (65 yrs old; with next oldest 34 yrs old) did not feel out of place around the typical college-age volunteer.

I highly recommend volunteering at the Kwantu Wildlife Reserve, and do it for at least two-weeks, otherwise you will miss out on some special activities.

Helpful hints: bring a pair of working gloves and a pair of shoes you can toss if needed (the road repair can get muddy if it rained); bring a microfiber towel and microfiber washcloth; and if going during their winter, bring a warm jacket, windbreaker, and sweats. You do not need to bring a water purification system, as they provide drinkable water. Pick up snacks in Port Elizabeth.

A perfect month in Cape Town! I will remember this for the rest of my life and can’t thank everyone enough. From the people, the activities, to the memories I made, this was truly once in a life time experience. For anyone thinking of doing it, just do it. I swear you will never regret it.

It was my best summer experience ever!
