Everything was perfect! I had an amazing time. The volunteering was great, it has changed me in many ways, it filled all my expectations and more. The house where we lived was very good, and we had always people looking after us just in case we had any problems. The other volunteers were also great. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I've just finished my 2 week program in Cape Town and the only thing I regret is just staying for 2 weeks. Once we arrived, they left us on the hostel, where I met the best people I've ever met. Our school was 15 minutes walking from the hostel, and it was a great experience. The children were all day playing and you could see how grateful they were when they saw us.

Overall, it has been an interesting experience at VolSol. I participated in the medical project in Cape Town, South Africa. It was quite interesting to see the differences between European and South African healthcare systems. However, one should keep in mind that as a foreigner, you are not permitted to do much hands-on work, regardless of your qualification. I was impressed by the friendly atmosphere at the clinic, all the staff has been really nice and down-to-earth.
The hostel is a good accommodation, though one should be aware of the fact that the meals that it provides are overall unhealthy.
In conclusion, I had a good time in Cape Town, both at the project and in the city itself.

Thanks for submitting your review for the Healthcare Program in Cape Town, South Africa. It is good to know that it was interesting for you to see the difference between European and South African healthcare systems. Yes, due to limitations participants cannot be allocated to be given hands on work directly. Due to this reason we ask the volunteers to be open-minded and prepared to assist wherever needed at the specific time. We receive regular good feedbacks about the staff at the healthcare clinics and how they welcome the volunteers. We have made a note of your comments about the meals and would be taking it up with the local team to see improvements are made on this. Thanks once again for joining the program in Cape Town.

This was a phenomenal program. Housing and food were simple, but perfect for experiencing a more truly Indian experience. Care and time were taken by Bobby and other staff to insure that the volunteering experience was fulfilling and logistically great. Everything was amazing. The orphanage experience was wonderful. The host Uma and his children very kind! We love them.
The only thing is that is too much money, really. Moreover we had to pay all The taxis to go and go back home from the orphanage and we tought they were inclusive. I don't understand where the money go... Because we asked and the orphanage don't receive anything from you. It was a Little upset.

I had the greatest trip to Sri Lanka. The communication was quick on queries and it was a straight forward process.
The care from the team was very good as they were checking how I was doing each day and not just taking a payment and then not bothering.
The only downside I would say was the lack of communication between them and the homestay about my dietary requirements.
This was easily resolved but would have saved the support worker some wasted food.
I would definitely use them again for a secure and organised trip!
