I was able to connect with Volunteer World through a basic online search that brought me to their beautiful, easy to apply website. I made my choices and was contacted by an English School in Hanoi Vietnam, and am currently volunteering there now!! I am loving my adventure, am blessed by the students & also the people that I am meeting! Unfortunately I am quite disappointed in the support offered and meetings organisation.
It has been near impossible to book a meeting to discuss the placement. All the times are in EAT, and with a window of only 2 hours really early in the morning (which I cannot attend because of my medication) without being able to book for 2 weeks every time. I have waited over a month and a half to have an hour meeting and no other operators or times are avaialble.
I still have not had my meeting and had to pay the deposit before even hearing about my placement, and very little effort has been made to ensure I could meet with an operator.
