Distribution Roller and Large Gear for Super Feeder
The parts are dishwasher safe (for me) but the sprocket isn't glued in place (no biggy, just didn't know) and it fell to the bottom and melted. Quick search got me to this part number and I received the part in a matter of days (regular delivery rate). I've had the autofeeder for 5 years now I think. No problems.

Super Feeder Late Model Housing Complete,Large Chute Cover,lid
I ordered this chute cover and lid to replace the old one I'd been using for about two years. My package arrived sooner than expected, so that was a pleasant surprise. This new replacement works great and was easy to install with a screw driver. Though over time, the chute loses it's resistance and spits out too much food, so you'll need to replace it every 2 years or so.

Clear Extension--Tough Polycarbonate Material
This is the best auto feeder out there. It's infinitely adjustable to allow for different types of kibble and dosing. I had to mount ours to the wall and modify the system so the food hopper is protected. The first night we left it out our cat ripped the hopper off the feeder and ate all the food, but it's all good now. We actually have 3 of these in different parts of the house programmed to go off at the same time. All our cats have there personal earting zone and special food if needed. The best thing of all is that we get to sleep in now. No more 4am visits from starving kittens.

These feeders are a Project with a capital P. They were enormously fiddly and satisfying to assemble, and work as advertised. My primary objective - to not be woken up at 4am by hungry cats - is met.
However the project continues. Our cat burglar deduced that repeated rocking yields a stray kibble, and that there's a weak point between the clear chute and the big plastic hopper. By sitting on the whole thing, she managed to work the screws loose and bend the metal retaining bar and actually separate the two, creating a huge mess and attracting ants overnight. I've seen the wooden contraptions some folks have built to prevent this, and I think I'll have to do the same, and possibly order some replacement parts. The pro is that Superfeeder makes this easy and supports tinkering. The con is that tinkering is necessary. That said, compared to everything else I investigated, I think this is the best option by far. Other feeders, my cat would've broken and I'd have no recourse and no community to help me find a suitable hack.

After several weeks of searching for 2 feeders that would work off of one timer, I finally decided to buy these. The cost was more than I wanted to pay but the product has proven to be worth every penny. It was fairly simple to assemble and program. My cats figured it out quickly. My older cat used a different feeder when she was our only cat. She was able to steal kibble easily. As soon as I put this feeder on the floor, she immediately tried to reach into it. The chute effectively prevents any stealing. The younger cat has figured out how to pop off the lids so I have to duct tape them onto the unit. I no longer get woken up at for early morning feedings. They eat, we sleep in, and everyone is happy. When we go away for 3 day weekends, we don't need a sitter. We put out an extra water bowl and litter box and they are set. The money spent on the feeder is saved in pet sitting cost and is priceless for our sleep schedule.

DT-01, 12 Volt DC programmable Timer (free ship)
This was the 12v DC timer available when I purchased my CSF-3 six years ago. I love it, and it has never let me down.
A little tedious to program (you have to enter a separate start and a stop time for each feed cycle, up to 16 cycles so up to 32 separate time entries), but once you've got it set, you'll never need to do it again, unless you want to change the feed times.
Extremely versatile, you can set different cycles for different days of the week, or different cycles for weekends (Sat/Sun) versus weed days (M-F).
The clock is very accurate- I haven't had to reset mine in 6 years.
I needed a 12vdc setup for my off-grid home, and this timer was perfect for me.
One other nice feature is the "On-Auto-Off" switch- if you want to manually start an extra feed cycle at any time, outside the programmed cycles (an "extra treat!"), just move the switch from "Auto" to "On" for a few seconds, then back to "Auto" to continue the regular program cycle.

I was a little skeptical at first because of the price. My wife and travel a lot so we needed something to feed our outdoor cat when we were away. I purchased the Cat feeder in December 2011. I built a wooden enclosure and has been outdoors from day one. I live in Southern Michigan so it sees temperatures from -10F to 100F. It is still working excellent to this day. I highly recommend this feeder to anyone that is looking for a high quality feeder that will last.
If you use these feeders outdoors you will have to adjust the volume adjustment screw differently in summer and winter to get the same amount of food per activation. I think the plastic inside is softer with warm temperatures so it allows more food to flow out when it is warmer outside.

There are several lower cost options out there but after reading on line reviews, most of them had a variety of documented performance issues. The first clue that this feeder was above average in nature was the careful, protective packaging it came in. The second indication of a quality product was the enclosed checklist of enclosed parts that demonstrated strong quality control measures. The third indication, was the detailed, easy to understand instructions. The only minor issue we had was getting the digital timer programed. The directions for the timer were a bit lacking and confusing. Over all, we love this product and even better yet, so does out cat. So looking forward to many more uninterupted early mornings of sleep. So refreshing to see an obvious concern for a well designed product. Thanks.

Bought the basic basic basic super feeder to see how our Little Shit will react to it as he's used to waking us up at quarter to 4 in the morning for food. Best purchase ever. We can wake up peacefully in the morning and he isn't scared of it. It takes awhile to adjust the food dispensing, but we got it down pat. Then realized that our vacation wasn't going to coincide with how much we feed him so we bought an extender. Then we realized we can't go on vacation longer than 8 days. So we bought this. Wow. I decided to purchase this product at the recommendation of my sister, who has owned it for over a year. After owning the Super-Feeder for a couple of weeks, I am very impressed. Set up was super easy with the video the company provides. I have the control to decide exactly how much and when the food will dispense. Also, the customer service from owner Gerard was unexpected and appreciated. I ordered the feeder last minute after discovering I needed to leave town suddenly, with no one to feed my cat.
