Machine head tuning seemed smoother. Higher string noise that for some reason did not carry over to the recording side. Brighter overall with smaller lower frequency strings that come in the off the shelf brands. Overall very good.

Love these! I fight tendonitis in my wrist and hand that will flare up with when I use 10s. But I love the tone I get from the 10s! The 9.5s are the perfect answer. I retain the tone I get from 10s and can bend and vibrato easier to keep my hands and wrist from barking. Great product and great service!

It's early to tell - just a few days in, but I like them very much.
I was using the Martin "green" extra light set and this is quite comparable- on a mature Martin MC-16GTE. This set is lower in tension and I had to tighten the truss rod - damaging the g string a bit - so maybe I could go up to the next higher set? Or a hybrid, because I do like the gauges of certain strings, such as .010 E, where they are. More to feedback to come...
I have the 9.5-46 set on my strat and I love them so far as well!

I actullay bought these on a lark. My go to acoustic string set for over a decade is SIT strings, a string set that always stay in tune once they are strung and stretched. I am very impressed with the first install of these handmade strings. They stay in tune and sound even from E to E.
