I’ve tried lots of different types of strings over the years. My Gibson LG3 and I have been together since 1962. I strung her with Naturals lights about a month ago. She has never sounded better! I like coated strings because they last much longer between changes. I wish they had made coated strings years ago when I was playing out every weekend. In the past I would need to change strings every week. Now that I just play at home they seem to last forever. I was using elixers but I think the string joys bend a little easier and so far the coating has not frayed. I tend to bang on my strings pretty hard and lots of bends and have not broke one yet. So far these work well and I will stick with them. If you’ve never tried coated strings I would highly recommend them especially if you play gigs.
