These strings are every bit as good as any brand I have used. The thing that makes string joy better for me is that I want a very specific graduation of string gauges that you just can't buy in a single pack anywhere. I used to have to buy multiple string sets and take the ones I need from each pack. that was really wasteful. I waited till I had played them awhile..they are amazingly bright and I love them on my Taylor 814 CE. The bottom end is “mid” deep with the A string needing just a little more bottom. They actually are deeper than I thought with the “bright” brass description. That said, I would like to try and add some size to the E and A string some time in the future. BUT...if all I had was this set i would be satisfied. Great strings and you have solved my issue with my guitars’ “less” bright sound from the Elixir HD lights ( nano).

They havegotten better after the first day? they’re very responsive with great tone.I’m using the preservent as well and will see how long the last. But I am very pleased with them I’ve got a great guitar so most strings sound pretty great, but these are particularly good. Once I know about the longevity I can pass that information on as well

First I just want to say that these strings are truly amazing and I would be totally giving them 5 stars, except for one issue I keep having... the string length is not consistent. For most people this isn’t gong to be a problem but I have an 8 string with a 30” scale length and a reverse head stock. Every pack i have gotten so far has had at least 1 string that is a slight bit to short (usually the low B string in my case) I was told that all strings should measure 41” but they usually range from 39”-43”. Like I said most people won’t have this problem and they are amazing on all my other guitars with shorter scale lengths. Just a little frustrating that I can’t find stings that fit my main axe.

I think I will try the extra light next time. The super light has a great sound but not exactly what I’m looking for. The 5 and 6th string have a muffled or almost a coated string sound. Over all the strings sound great. However, after a short amount of play and even after some finger ease. The strings feel very dry and worn, yet the tone is still good.
