Stringjoy Strings are great. The custom set builder is the greatest idea, and I can't believe no one else has considered doing that. It has inspired me to try out a bunch of different tunings I would have never tried, like Tremonti's DADADD tuning, or Goo Goo Doll's BDDDDD tuning. There's no way I'd be able to try stuff like that with a standard set of store bought strings. My only complaint is that I need more Strings. Like options above a 56 gauge for Acoustic would be great.

I want to add to this review that, out of the most recent set I had, 3 of the strings broke while I was tuning them up and stretching them. They broke at the tuning pegs (locking tuners). I thought I did something wrong on my end, but I threw on a set of another brand the same way and had no issues. Never had that issue before with Stringjoy, and the customer service is always great, so I don’t want to be too harsh, just had a weird set I suppose.

I had just acquired a new custom acoustic guitar with fan frets (multiscale) and found out about Stringjoy’s ability to customize string sets. Using the site’s tension calculator I then ordered up my first three sets. Upon receiving them I was first impressed with the quality of the packaging and the personal handwritten note of gratitude contained therein. And then I strung up my guitar. SO far im very pleased with the entire experience and will be ordering my strings for stringjoy in the future. They have a nice response and very responsive to pick attack. I have a set on my breedlove acoustic and they sound out of this world. Ive had this acoustic for years and have played it at many cookouts and get together s with friends but since i put the stringjoys on everytime i play i get told how amazing it sounds. I put the balanced 9.5-46 on my Les Paul and it has a sound smoother than any churned butter youve ever seen and when i engage the if its to loud your to old switch you better hold on cause it will blow you out of the chair with clarity even through the sizzle! Good job STRINGJOY

They sound and feel great but the amount of difference between these and Ernie Balls is not enough to warrant the almost double price. Maybe they last longer but to me I can still get a great sound and feel out of something a little cheaper.
