After spending a fortune on a five string bass guitar, I learned that I almost never use the 'G' string. I still have my four string bass, so I came up with the idea of stringing it with B-E-A-D tuning. The narrower neck makes it much easier to play. Now, with String Joy,. The StringJoy strings are quality and tone is good. The ability to assemble a custom gauge set is a great feature. The price is premium, but I will make additional purchases of the customs sets. My current “go-to” is GHS Bass Boomers so it is understood my point of reference is. Both are USA made strings, so it should be a relevant comparison.
