My initial thoughts were based on replacing old and dead strings... These were ok. A few days later, I noticed that it held tune without having the strings stretched. The more I played, the more the subtle nuances of my guitar began to come to life. These are absolutely my "forever strings".

I wanted to try lighter strings, but my arthritic hands , which are used to acoustics, tend to squeeze too hard.
So I got a set with equal tension, or as equal as possible across the fret board.
10-13.5-17-24-34-42.
tensions were even as possible.
I expected that the bass side would be not as loud,and I might have to adjust neck tension due to the lighter bass strings not having as much clearance up the neck due to less tension.
I could adjust loudness to some degree with pole pieces, and neck clearance with truss rod.
All in all, it has worked fine for me and i will probably try a similar combo another time.
I really appreciate being able to pick the strings I want.
