My favorite pure nickel strings for vintage tone.

For anyone happening to read my comments to properly evaluate them, in the 60s I played in a few bands and made a few bucks. Today I’m a mediocre bedroom player with a shot voice at best. Hey, I still enjoy fingerpicking on my acoustic.
Seeing a Stringjoy ad on my Facebook feed, I clicked through to an interesting, informative, and engaging website. Because it seemed inviting, I filled out the form for a string recommendation and the next day an email arrived recommending Stringjoy Naturals | Medium Gauge (13-56) Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings. I ordered them.
Next came a very nice email thanking me for the order and helpfully informing me I had an advocate inside of the company. How pleasing for a customer is that? Now I’m smitten.
The strings came and they were delightful. Slightly lighter feeling in gauge, despite being the same as my old strings, but far easier of touch and with a fantastic, warm sound on my old Martin D-18. I’ve been playing them for a couple of weeks — I wouldn’t do that if gigging — and they still sound pretty good.
So yeh. What’s not to like? A company with a good product working hard to please you as a customer? I’ll take it any day.

I put these on a PRS hollow body II and a PRS McCarty 594. Great improvement in tone and feel/touch. I use these guitars for lounge music, Sinatra, etc. Chord melody stuff. The strings really contribute to a sweet tone.

These strings are great - I have them on 3 of my 5 guitars with inventory to switch out the other 2 soon.
I can really tell the difference in attack, sustain and dynamics. They just sound better.
I will not use anything else going forward - they are that good . . .

I purchased a Taylor 314ce a few months back. It's my pride and joy and I play every day. I'm not all that good, but I play everyday, nonetheless. It was time to change out the original strings. I purchased two sets of the StringJoy Acoustic Natural Bronze lights. Because I've been playing daily the sound of the old syringes was clear in my ear for an easy and accurate comparison. The Stringjoy strings were audiabley livelier with a perky and bright sound. I was surprised that the sound was markedly better compared to the original strings. I think the strings are helping me play better. OK, that is not true, but the noise coming from my Taylor's sound hole is for sure better. Thanks for caring so much about yours strings and your customers. It is nice knowing your are there.

My first set of Stringjoys and I could be happier. The gauges in the set sound great and has a smoother feel than some other brands, not sure, but maybe because they use different gauges within the set. I do find the strings stay in tune so well, I find myself not having to check the tuning nearly as often. Overall, I’m a happy player and will keep coming back for more.

Was more than just new strings, ‘‘twas a new sound altogether. From the personalized packing to the kickass tone/sustain. These strings aren’t just the same product with another brands packaging, they’re worth it. Take your sound back to the drawing board with string joy.

Ordering from my country is way too expensive: to bring down shipping expenses I ordered 2 sets, but I overlooked the fact that I (exceeding the import duty free limit) had to pay VAT, and on top of that € 18,- ($ 20,- ) handling costs... go figure. So the stringjoys became the most expensive strings I ever had on a guitar.

i’m liking your strings a great deal. i am recording and touring artist; and more and more i am learning how much nuance is available in different ––and fresh–– strings; and that’s speaking as someone who used to be proud that i never changed them unless breaking one.

one more thing, though: have you considered adding a nickel string set to your inventory? i’d become a ‘regular,’ if so.
