I put these on my brand new Lawrence K Brown 00-28. It came with 80-20 Bronze strings and I wanted something with a warmer tone. These strings were warmer, but they were the first strings I have tried on this guitar so I can't compare them to others. If I had put them on my Collings, I could have given you a more informed review. I liked the warmth but might have wanted the high E, B and G strings to be just a bit brighter.

Great strings . Great balance . Great lifespan(when using the string oil/cleaner)I’ve had no breakages at all. I have tried the acoustics and electrics . 9-42 set is great on the fender stuff in E standard and the 10-48 is great on my lower tuned stuff like Eb and D standard. I tried a custom set ala Hendrix and hated them lol, however that was nothing to do with the quality of your product or service but to do with the weird mix of strings he supposedly used .

Really great sounding strings. I bought a .85 for my 8 string. The only issue I had is I had to take off some of the winding to get it to fit into the peg head. I would just suggest a bit more of a taper if possible and maybe the option to have the taper start after 27"/28" depending on the scale length. Great products and I will always support stringjoy.

I'm usually a flats user so these seem other worldly to me on my fender bass. At first I said they have a "moony" sound and I still feel they do a couple weeks into using them. They are rougher on my fingers than elixir nanowebs. But not by a lot. I'm still getting used to the sustain of these roundeounds and am adjusting my playing to mute at different times than I'm used to. Leaving them on for now.

The broadways I wasn't sure how to feel about them at first because I'm so used to the normal balanced string joy sets, but I put them on my 60's custom shop Fender Stratocaster and after I got them broken in, they were smooth as butter. They have a nice roll off on the high end which gives a nice silky tone but not cutting too much high end. I think when I'm in the mood to play the blues and use the strat, these are perfect and I'll be buying them again. I think for heavy rock and metal, I still prefer the regular stringjoys which sit on nearly all my guitars though. I will say make sure to break in the broadways, they open up after about an hour or two of playing. Stringjoys the best!
