I was considering selling my Martin 12 string. Maybe due to the laminate body it just never sounded right. I loved my 6 string set so I decided to try the 12s and holy smokes, the Martin went from being a guitar I was gonna well to a really amazing sounding treasure. The fullness, richness, playability, and balance of these is unreal. Light years bette than literally every other set I’ve tried.

I’ve played literally every kind of strings over the last 25 years, and was very suspicious that anything could be that different, but these strings, as well as the phenomenal set I got for my 12 string really have brought out the best sound I’ve heard from my Taylor and Martin dreadnaughts. There is something about them that is very balanced and controlled throughout the frequency spectrum, and the difference really came to light recording with them. Simply excellent.

To start off... the purchase and shipping went very well. Prompt and packaged nicely. I did take notice of the electric set (Broadway Nickel 10-46) having the quality of sounding very even string to string when I put them on and tuned them to pitch. I put them on a Telecaster with a maple neck to compare to my usual brand of the same gauge, and true to your claim they did produce a tone that was warm and rich.
Now they have been on that guitar for well over a month and still hold tune and sound really nice. So nice that I didn't hesitate to record with them this past week. So high marks for longevity too. I'm glad that I tried them and glad that you are manufacturing a high quality product. I need a bit more playing time to review the acoustic set, but I'm giving top score on the Stringjoy Broadway set.

I love this set for my drop-Eb tuning, the bass strings have plenty of thickness to carry the low end and still be punchy. Also, there is just enough room for the highs to ring clearly while leaving the perfect amount of wiggle room to get those vibratos.

The folks at Stringjoy came through again on a special request! I have an older Gibson parlor-size that I just gave a bridge replacement. It probably needs the bracing redone but that’s out of my league. These nickel strings, in a light gauge, are lower tension as well as a perfect fit tone-wise for this axe that needed a little TLC. Plenty of volume but a much mellower sound than I would get from bronze. Thanks for the great advice!
