I was a little skeptical at first, but in my endless quest for tone I was willing to try it. Darned I’d it doesn’t make some difference. I found that it can actually wake up and get a bit of life out of older strings and I now apply it after each practice. I still change my strings about every five or six week, but they usually still sound decent up to the time of changing. I’m just fussy about tone. When my axe sounds sweet I don’t want to put it down. More practice makes me a better player. Oh, and it smells nice too.

My favorite strings to date. I’m learning to play Bluegrass guitar. I’m about a year in to it, so I’m no Doc Watson.....yet anyway. I have a D18 Martin and I pay a lot of attention to my tone. I have tried three other brands of guitar strings in light and medium gauges and these are easily my favorite. I have lowered my action a bit and lighter strings can buzz a bit, but not the mediums. I don’t find them to be any harder to play than light gauge and they seem to have just a bit more volume.

I’ve really enjoyed my Stringjoy Signatures. I’ve been using coated strings for the last 25 years, as I wear strings out super quickly, and found the Stringjoys last just as long. There is a very short break in period and then get and retain a very slinky, bendy feel to them, for lack of better terms. Great strings! Consider me a convert.

I’m fully in love with the balanced super light 7 string set. I ordered several different sets of strings the first time I bought stringjoy strings and they were the set that I’d always been looking for but didn’t know what I needed. I’ce always thought heavier gages would sound better and keep me from having floppy strings but these proved the opposite true. I’ve been able to bend comfortably and do all the heavy chugging and riffs with no noticeable looseness. I have these string on all of my guitars and would be shocked if I switched away from them at this point. Fully love everything about this set.
