I have tried a lot of different bass strings over the last 10 years. I finally settled on Stringjoy strings because they sound good, feel good, and keep their intonation and clarity of sound when maintained properly. I know that sounds cliché, but it's true. Feel-wise, they are neither too loose nor too stiff. I use them on my six string fretless bass.
The strings are always neatly and securely packaged, and the customer service is always friendly and on point. I highly recommend the non-toxic, plant-based string cleaner as well;it really works!
I hope that in the not-too-distant future that Stringjoy will add roundcore bass strings to their inventory.
There were two other bass string brands that I used for decades that I still like and would use in a pinch, but for now, I am using these strings exclusively.
