Yeah, these really are worth it.
I can't speak to how they sound on guitars that cost $5,000 and up. But on my '57 Gibson LG-1 and Larrivee L-05 and Breedlove Parlor, I notice a brightness and clarity that elevate the sound. Great articles as well; they don't just sell strings. The article on the difference between the different phosphor bronze and 80/20's was really helpful. Now, they just need to make Banjo and Mandolin strings!

I donāt play as much as I once did and, therefore, donāt change strings as often. Stringjoys are absolutely the best strings I have ever used, and I have been buying guitar strings for 60 years. I have used none other since these guys came on the scene, and I bought a set on a lark. They sound better, play better and last longer than any DāAddarios or Martins, which were my go-tos for years. I love STRINGJOY strings on my acoustic guitar, and have used them exclusively since first trying them when they first became available.
I had less luck with electric guitar strings for some reason, and found they broke easily on my Telecaster more than once or twice. I had never broken a string on my Tele while playing before that, that I can recall. I may have been using the wrong strings though I have to admit, but donāt remember which electric guitar strings I tried.
I have recommended STRINGJOY strings to all my musician friends. I enjoy using Foxwoods Balanced Extra Light strings on my Takamine acoustic guitar, and prefer them over any other strings Iāve tried.

Iām giving the Foxwoods 5 Stars for tone and longevity! Iāve yet to play a coated string that sounds as good. I play a lot, and they seem to be holding up real well. These strings are a bit more āsqueakyāthan I like when I do slides, but even so, I still give them a 5 on overall performance.
