I bought this crate to transport one of my cats to the Big Island of Hawaii. My main purpose in buying this particular crate was to withstand the long hard trip while still keeping my pet safe and secure. Both the crate and my pet survived, BUT, I'd like to recommend reinforcing the handle, it was somehow pulled out of the crate.

This is a quite good carrier: sturdy and well made. However, there is a design flaw: the car has v to be placed in the carrier through the front. If you have a very recalcitrant cat, as I do, it would be good to have access through the top. Much easier to get a difficult cat into.

Hello Ann - due to the design of this bag with ribs that allow the carrier to "squish" down without collapsing on your pet, top entry is not an option. Standing the carrier on its end may assist with putting your kitty in its carrier. Cradle its backside and lower into carrier with legs pointing upwards close to body. Susan

I was not realizing from the picture that the bowl was "sitting" in the metal loop that attaches to the crate door. I saw it as the screw attachment is weldet on the bowl.Knowing my dog she bangs on it and it comes out of its metal holder loop. I am not sure if i can use it that way since she will travel

Sabine - we haven’t had any issues with the bowl coming out of the ring and this is a very popular product. The rings are not snug to the bowl but with the weight of the water the bowl won’t come out and even without water they would to really mess with it to get the bowl out of the ring. The bowl is like six or so inches tall with the ring right at the top. If you are still uneasy, you could use duct tape and wrap it around to top of the bowl.

Great quality product, but the kennel was a lot bigger than we expected! It was bigger than American Airlines 300 series measurements, which were on the approved list for a regional airport. We would have liked more guidance that this kennel may run into problems with rejection. They did not accept 2 kennels this intermediate size on American Airlines out of Cedar Rapids Iowa.
