We are on the process of completing all the necessary documents by following all the instructions you've given to us. We're planning to bring our dogs in the USA by mid of March 2017. So far, the papers are all very helpful and informative. That's why we are praying for their hassle - and stress free trip.

Really sturdy crate that comes ready to be used for pet air travel. This crate got my cat safely from Hawai`i to California. I was really happy with the design.

My only complaint, and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is that they don't include the metal hardware - you have to buy the metal hardware separately. Why make such a sturdy crate and then include plastic hardware? For the price you pay and this product being the go-to for passing airline requirements (of which metal hardware is one requirement), the metal hardware should be included.

I purchased two for transcontinental travel. Perfect size for water and food.

The first carrier we received was cracked on the upper right-hand corner. The company was kind enough to replace it immediately, but it gave one pause to think one would entrust one's pet's safety to a carrier that could crack in shipping. We were assured by the Pet Travel Store that only 1 in 5000 crack in shipment. Unfortunately, we were the one!

To my utmost surprise, when the ATA500 kennel/crate (see separate review on it) with German Sheppard inside arrived from the airline cargo hold after a 4-hour commute, the bowl was broken off at its mount to the crate door and a jagged and very sharp 2-inch protrusion at the mounting location remained. I don't know how this could have occurred, but never mind, it should not have been an issue at all. In my mind, this is unforgivable; aside from water to have spilled onto the floor of the crate, the sharp protruding plastic piece could have caused serious injury.

This is a very large ATA500 Class kennel/crate, which is approved for airline transport for a large animal. I ordered the extra-cost metal hardware because the airlines demand metal instead of plastic assembly hardware. I used this crate for a German Sheppard, which technically did not meet all of the body clearance specifications for this size crate; the airline would have been within its rights to decline its passage because dog was a few inches larger than is recommended for this crate. Unfortunately, any crate larger than ATA500 will not fit on most domestic airline cargo hold equipment; the dog would have had to go air freight instead and that's a bigger hassle. The crate is very well built, especially with metal hardware to compliment it. I would have given it 5-stars except for it was a royal pain-in-the-neck to move it around the airport grounds (this ATA500 crate weighs 35-pounds without animal loaded). There are no hand grips or handles of any kind to carry or lift it. It was extraordinarily difficult to move crate, luggage, and dog from SUV rental lot, load onto bus-to-terminal ride, and finally to airline check-in counter; never mind moving and lifting with animal loaded by TSA personnel for inspection and loading and unloading from aircraft. Except for that great difficulty of transport, it is, otherwise, a very good value.

I bought the DATAMARS Microchip Scanner Compact Max for its ability to read BOTH 9-digit Avid encrypted microchips and European 15-digit, ISO compliant non encrypted chips. Having lived in different countries with different microchip requirements, my dogs and cats have both Avid and the 15-digit chips implanted. This scanner reads them both. Having your own scanner is a very simple way to have peace of mind knowing that EU entry ports will be able to verify your pets chips in the event that their readers dont.

I really like this product it came with everything I needed to get my kitties up to date. Love the features if your animal gets lost. Great price.

This is excellent! However, sizing is off. It's very small in according to the order form measurements. So glad I ordered a medium. My poodle weighes 5-6# but I ordered a medium even thought the scale showed small. She would not have been able to fit in the small.

Was very impressed with how much Pet Travel Store prepared me for flying my pet through Delta Cargo. With all of the regulations about metal hardware, pet dishes, paperwork, etc., this website and this crate in particular made it so easy. It was so simple to add metal hardware and a document pouch onto my order, and the dishes came with it automatically. It was great construction and very simple to put together. It was a very stressful move, and finding this website and this crate made it so much easier. My kitty made it easily and safely from Michigan to Texas!
