It is also very important that your Vet be familiar with the process and have a good relationship with the USDA office. Things can change in a minute. Also, book your pet's flight as soon as they will allow and watch out for the time limits for required shots... five days for the UK. British Airlines and their freight contractors were fantastic!! The Animal Reception Center at Heathrow was wonderful.
