Using the Red Oak chunks, coupled with oak lump charcoal and a Santa Maria Rub that was recommended by Fruita Wood Chunks, how could i go wrong? The rub was even better than recommended, my guests raved aTip.d thought that they were actually in Santa Maria, Calif. The taste was subtle initial, but continued to build with each morsel. It never became salty, as a lot of rubs are prone to do. The complex melding of the ingredients were superb! This is definitely my go to rub for authentic Santa Maria Style Tri Tip.

Love the new rub shaker, easy to get an even coating and doesn't clog up like some of the shakers on the containers do. Top can be a little finicky to get threaded correctly. Nice addition to my barbecue cooking kit and at a great price!
