Great overall curriculum but the definitions to the vocabulary words need to be put in the back of the student reader! All dictionaries give different meanings of words which doesn't match the definition you are looking for and giving in the teacher book, so they need to be listed in the back of the student book! And, it would be nice to have pronunciation of all hard words in the student readers. Thanks!

My 8th grader is enjoying the Exploring America set I purchased, and my 5th grader recently started on America The Beautiful. With both purchases the shipping and customer service were excellent. With both curricula, we are thoroughly impressed with the source document text. The student reviews, however, need to include a couple of optional challenging questions - the why questions. The photos are gorgeous, but in the America the Beautiful text, we must supplement the text of every lesson with our own internet search or library research. The text has a stark lack of factual support/ information/context which my 5th grader noticed by the second lesson. The curricula are beautiful, nicely organized, easy to use, and thankfully Christian in perspective. However, they need a little tweaking to academically prepare students who are aiming toward college level thinking.
