We love history time now. This is an area we have really struggled and I worried my kids were not getting the general history background they needed from homeschool. Someone recommended Notgrass and I’m sold, it’s going great! Easy to understand, read and work through the assignments at the end of the passage. Other curriculums were fussy and frustrating. Notgrass is beautiful and they actually enjoy it.

We are only on lesson 11 but so far, it has been great, really enjoying it! Although we are not using this for English credits, we are trying to read Mornings on Horseback etc., however I do think that w all the other supplementary reading in the Truths book, it is too much. The original documents also are a bit difficult to read & comprehend so cant be done quickly.

We have only completed a couple of units, but this curriculum has been enjoyable for our family. The literature and activities are wonderful. My children are in the older age range for the "Our Spangled Story", but are enjoying it thoroughly. If they finished the 3 activities in the book, I have them draw a picture, take notes (pictorial and/or hand written text) about what we are learning. My kids are dyslexic, and my 4th grader, would not be able to read the textbook or literature by herself, but we bought this curriculum as a family learning experience, and are enjoying it that way. However, with that being said, a great addition to the curriculum would be a recorded audio book download option for struggling readers. Some of my children's other textbooks are available in audio/text to speech online through the curriculum provider's website, and programs like Bookshare and Learning Ally. Thanks. We are enjoying this curriculum thus far.

Your Christmas study has been a lot of fun this month. I appreciate all the different parts of the Christmas season it covers with the main emphasis on Jesus Christ. It has given us a little longer break than we normally take just because of the completeness of the book and activities.
