Christine was amazing! She offered to meet with me for a quick brainstorming session after we were introduced and that alone significantly changed the trajectory of my personal statement because she helped me decide which stories to tell. Additionally, her recommendations for word choice and essay structure were really helpful. I felt a lot more confident about my PS after working with her and she was super responsive and available. I highly recommend Christine!

As a side note, I was initially assigned to another advisor. Due to extenuating circumstances, the first one was not able to work that week but I didn’t find out until 5 days after I had sent my PS. This wouldn't have been a big deal if I submitted it earlier, but I had turned it in only a few weeks before the submission date. I really appreciated how responsive the Med School Insiders team was once I brought it to their attention — they worked quickly to reassign me to someone else the same day. I think the only thing that could have gone better would be that initial lapse in communication. After that, Christine responded with edits within 72 hours (and often earlier).

Ultimately, if you’re thinking about buying this service, I would go for it. However, if you’re planning to get edits during your application year, I strongly encourage submitting early and reaching out to your advisor/MSI team if there’s any confusion or delay in communication (I waited an additional 1-2 days before reaching out and wished I would have been more proactive.)

Julie was the best counsellor ever, I was starting to doubt med school insiders actual capacity to help us with our application from a previous counsellor I had. But she was completely different she brought all the things I was looking for. She objectively judged my application, and gave me actionable steps on what I could do to make my app better. She gave me in-depth feedback, not just surface level. Most importantly, I could tell she genuinely cared for my success as an applicant this cycle which showed me how much effort she put into my making my application better. She cared for my application as if it were her own, I cannot thank her enough.

Sarah was great! I needed help applying to medical school for the second time and she took all my skills/ experiences and helped me write effective essays that allowed me to interview at multiple schools and gain several acceptances. Sarah listened to my thoughts and concerns about the application cycle and made me feel very confident.
