Before coming to med school insiders, I had studied for months for the MCAT. I had a lot of the content down, but when it came to testing strategies, I really struggled. I was flatlining at around a 505 during my practice tests, and during the actual exam I only scored a 501. I was able to finally increase my score with the help of Michelle who not only motivated me to set deadlines for myself, but also showed me invaluable testing strategies. The detailed questionnaire I filled out prior to meeting my mentor was very helpful for hitting the ground running and figuring out my strengths and where I needed help. It was clear to me that my mentor reviewed my answers in detail prior to our first meeting, in which we laid out the plan moving forward. Overall, my experience was great throughout personal statement and secondaries writing; I was strongly supported and received feedback largely within 48 weekday hours. My mentor was not experienced with middle and lower tier schools and I would've wanted more support from MedSchoolInsiders for her in that realm. I further would've wanted much more robust interview preparation. Thank you.
