We have a 15 lb Shih-Tzu who is an extremely picky eater and who has tons of skin allergies. We had him on the Ketona Chicken recipe at first, and he lost a few lbs (you can see his waist now!) and gained a lot of energy, but got skin rashes and constant ear infections due to his allergies. We were overjoyed when we found Ketona released a salmon product! We switched over and this food has kept Bosley fit, energetic, and happy, and his skin rashes and ear infections are gone. SO far so good, all the dogs love the food. I got this for weight-loss and she is very slowly trimming down, but we also are walking her 2 x day. It took a little while for her body to adjust to the food, but she is good now. I am ordering more for my parents dogs who love to eat it every time they come over and visit...they both have terrible allergies so I hope this will also improve their health.

So far so good. Cody is a 9 year old Aussie & Border Collie mix that I adopted from the shelter. He has always suffered from hot spots on his skin and recently with age arthritis. Lacey and Bettie. Lacey is 14 yrs old and snoozing. Bettie is 3. Lacey always had to eat her food having Bettie watch, then reluctantly eat her bowl. Now Bettie is all in, and eats immediately. Both dogs love the food and there is definitely less waste in the back yard. Both dogs have lost a few pounds too which has helped the older dog with weakining muscles.

I think this is good quality food. It seems a little dry and crumbly compared to other foods. I wish the chicken flavor was organic and I also wish the salmon flavor was wild-caught salmon but I know that would be extremely cost prohibitive. Reason being is commercial chicken/salmon have too high omega 6-s and not enough omega 3's. I have tried to put my dog on low-carb/no-carb before and for some reason she just can't acclimate. I try to taper off very slowly and integrate the food over a period of months and she still has loose stool and not the best "poo-poo" outcomes. I want so badly to like this food so I will give it another month or two to see if she can acclimate, otherwise I will have to go back to other brand. I got it for her to lose weight and I am not convinced it working for weight loss either. We will see after a few more months.
