It’s a pretty useful tools. If it’s work as it is.
Menu still need some polishing to do.
There are still some issue with the software that f it didn’t goes as plan.
Paul are very helpful on trying to support on issue I’ve encounter.
Hope the upcoming update will resolve more of the issue and I hope the menu and online manual are much easier to understand.

I think it’s very confusing as I try to use it to clean up my Serato Crates and music files. My library is very large and split up between multiple drives and iTunes.

Over 90% correct naming and categorization and easy handling overall. In conjunction with Melco, it‘s a little bit weird. After ripping there is a graphical cover, but the cover is not saved on the server.

Some of these are very ‘casual’.
Surprisingly if I search in Discogs I find the correct one (with corresponding tagging)

Good for massive tagging, but with ‘false positive’.
I don’t know the method of grabbing info from the various databases, but some (3-4%) items are not well detected while are there in Discogs or musicbrainz for example.

Hi Riccardo, are your songs organized by album or not, if you could run Create Support Files and post more details on the forum then I can look into these false positives.

The end result is very good, but for me getting there has involved a bit of a struggle. After cleaning my files using the Roon setting only, Roon would crash while re-importing the altered files. This stopped after I re-did the SongKong process about seven times and reinstalled the Roon core program. A week or so later, SongKong began freezing after displaying a message about a corrupt database. This was resolved by deleting the SongKong database files and reinstalling the program. Since then, things have been smoother, and I've moved from the "Roon" setting to a more thorough process that has re-organized the files in my library so it can be used on Roon and other music programs that care more about organization than Roon does. The end results have been successful, and it appears that my initial problems are over with. I do wish that the SongKong interface were a little more "modern" and straightforward. That, and early issues not withstanding, I feel I have made a useful purchase.

Hi David, it sounds like you still had Roon running whilst SongKong was updating them, this is not recommended if you are running against your whole library, please see https://community.jthink.net/t/basic-clean-up-of-music-library-for-use-with-roon/9794 . If you have further questions or can give me more details about what you mean by "modern" would be great if you could post some details on the forum.

The way it tags music makes things easy to locate and use. However, I wish I received a response from the admin team, as I mistakenly purchased the wrong version. I purchased the Pro License but actually needed the Melco License to help with my Naim music rips. But I hadn't received a response from the sales team when I requested some help. Otherwise, SongKong is a great ID3 tagger!

Hi, that is not possible due to Gracenotes licensing restrictions. But our combined MusicBrainz/Discogs/Acoustid database is larger than the Gracenote datebase

Working very well but very very sllow. I have a huge collection and it has only fixed 715,000 out of 1,100.000 which started on July 17th. 8 days and less than 3/4 done.

Hi Marty, that is alot of files there is no getting around the fact that will take some time, but with SongKong the matching is totally unattended requiring no input from yourself.

SongKong did exactly what it was supposed to do, it processed my unorganized digital music collection into a well organized set of files with accurate Metadata. It took a few test runs to get the settings correct before I let it loose on my full collection but it was an easier and quicker process than I expected. The Discogs matching worked better than I expected and didn't have any issues finding obscure releases. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to cleanup their collection.
