Jaikoz is easy to use and extremely helpful with organizing and tagging my music files.

Jaikoz is my standard tagger.

This is the most capable, multi-file music metadata manager that I've been able to find. I can't imagine managing my music collection with any other program. Jaikoz for Mac OS is reasonably stable, but it crashes occasionally when loaded with a large number of files (e.g, > 300).

Like any very capable and flexible program, Jaikoz takes some time and effort to get familiar with the basics of how it works. Mastering the more advanced customizations and automations available requires substantial thought and work, not only to understand how the program's advanced features work, but also how the user *wants* them to work so that the results are consistent and predictable. That's no fault of Jaikoz, but simply one of the many choices involved in managing a database. This investment is probably worthwhile only for those with very large music collections. But if you have a large collection -- especially one that involves lots of classical music -- the time and effort is well-rewarded in the long term. That said, Jaikoz is not the tool for those seeking lots of thought-free automation or instant results.

The program is well worth the purchase price. It is well-supported in the sense that the author frequently updates it to keep it current. Like any endeavor, it's impossible to please everyone. Here are my nits, and there are only three:
1) On my 27" iMac, the font is very small and, for these eyes of a "certain age," very hard to read. It would be a great improvement if the display font size could be adjusted. AFAI have been able to determine, it is not.
2) I wish there were a more ready resource on how to set up the format of file names. There are a couple of things I'd like to be able to do but haven't been able to figure out using the scripting language Jaikoz uses.
3) A little "prettier" interface, though this is WAY down the list. Jaikoz has the look of a Windows 3.1 program, not a Mac OS program.

All in all, Jaikoz is, AFAIK, an irreplaceable, but improvable (what isn't?), one-of-a-kind, highly recommended tool. Thanks for making it available.

Excellent tool! There are some features a persons needs to spend time learning. But if you have a need for quick and complete tagging and organizing your music files, this us the program. I've been using for 10 years now!

Hello Paul. I've been using Jaikoz for years now, and I think it is a trustworthy, reliable and easy. Also, I remember having a bit of a problem awhile back, and I've got a quick reply from you, so thumbs up for the service, too!

Not totally intuitive, but it sure does the job

Excellent program. I've used it to help friends clean up their library metadata and duplicates, recommended it to countless others.

Since I moved my iTunes library to a WD My Cloud NAS, Jaikoz can't be used anymore with direct upate in iTunes. iTunes gets stucked and Jaikoz needs 15 minutes until I can work with it.

(iMac27,2010,cable attached to router,Sierra 10.12.6,Jaikoz 1161, WDMyC 8TB,33000 songs) No, I haven't configured "Copy...", I read about that, still stops iTunes (Mac wheel is turning 15 minutes) when I start Jaikoz configured with "iTunes Autoupdate" . I appreciate your help but don't loose time I obviously the only one and I can live with it. Thank you

I've been using Jaikoz for years (I think since the 3.x days) and still haven't found another app that could replace it. I wish lyrics were added back in and I have a few other small preference issues, but it's quick and comprehensive. I've recommended it to everyone I know that tags.

Overall a great product that sticks to what it’s made for and focuses on the product and not a whole lot more.
Only negative thing I’ve noticed is that iTunes doesn’t recognize more than the 1st composer/performer etc.
