A good programme overall - still working with it to convert a Naim core backup into a portable drive I can use via USB in my vehicle. Many options are available - imperative to read the form and follow the advice there

Hi Paul, by default when we import Naim metadata we dont modify the file locations at all only the metadata, but if you want to modify the folder/filename structure you can choose from a large number of pre-existing filenames masks including album only, or create your own. Version 9 of SongKong has a large number of user interface improvements so hopefully this will be an improverment for you.

Very effective, almost perfect with cd rip, with older digital file or . wav format struggle some more. The editing feature to go into single track and add info is very useful. Melco integration work very well.

Once you figure out the intricacies, it's quite good. I found the documentation lacking - skimpy, assuming knowledge of some not-so-obscure terms. Good thing the "revert" action works. Annoying to have to back out completely if you start selecting parameters for the wrong folder. Worth the very reasonable price.

Hi Dale, doesnt actually rename anything unless you change the options. But if you want it to rename and its only renaming some things as you would like please post more details on the forum and we will get to the bottom of it.

Sits very comfortably with me. Rich configurability - backed up by Paul's amazingly helpful and friendly tech support - that allows it to do exactly what I want.(eg make the [Year] field be the *original* year of the tracks - not necessarily when the album was released - as required for my playout system, RadioDJ). Been pretty reliable at this for my 1970s rock & pop collection (unlike some other apps, that I have found more hit-and-miss). Also love its famed spreadsheet-like interface for metadata display and fixing/editing and multiple-values (e.g. in same text field, e.g. Genre). Underpinned by MusicBrainz initial lookup (including by audio signature), optionally followed by configurable kinds of Discogs refinements. I'm a very happy customer.
