Was leery at first, and pleasantly surprised and satisfied in the end!

I was looking for a very specific tour since we only had a short stay in Bayeaux. I wanted a morning tour for 3-4 hours on Sunday, I found one on France.com and booked it. I wasn't sure how it was going to work, but I received confirmation that my tour was booked in 24 hours. I went on blind faith that our guide was going to pick us up on Sunday since there wasn't much information about the tour company. We were picked up on time, and our tour guide Rose was AMAZING. So knowledgeable and we would have loved to spend a full day or two with her but time did not permit. I would book again with France.com.

Lourdes and back - very fast an very fine!

Our experience in Lourdes - getting there, there, and returning to Paris – went very smoothly. The only glitch was there was no one waiting for us when we got off the TGV in Lourdes. We spoke to a woman at the information desk in Lourdes and she got a taxi for us. The driver accepted the voucher. Everything at the hotel - room and meals - was very fine.

WE ONLY HAD ONE DAY IN PARIS AND WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE !!!!!

Our cruise included an opportunity to spend a day in "gay Paree ". Booked and paid for a private tour with France.com several months before we left so were a little apprehensive that no one would be there the day we docked . No worries, Gwen , our awesome driver and extremely knowledgable tour guide was waiting when we disembarked. He managed to hit all of the fabulous sites we wanted to see and also enjoy an outdoor cafe "people watching ." Kudos to John who helped us plan it and Gwen who made it happen !!!!!!

Enjoying excellence in the Alsace

Everything about our Alsace Full-Day Tour was excellent ! The weather on June 11th was perfect. Our guide, Brigitte, was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. The 4 vignerons whose wineries we visited were justly proud of the delectable wines that they presented for tasting with detailed explanations of the reasons for the differences between their products. The natural scenery and the very attractive, well-maintained traditional villages were a delight to the eye.
My only regret was that I hadn't booked to stay longer, ... but duty called.

This tour was fantastic!

You should really use this company! Our reservations got messed up on my end and they reached out to me to see why we did not show up for the tour. Sure enough the date requested was not correct. If they had not contacted me I would not have known until I got to France and my trip would have neen ruined! They accommodated me with a new date without any hassle. Also the tour guide and accomodation were excellent! I particularly wanted to thank their employee Elodie he saved the day!

A day well spent!

The day tour was wonderfully executed. The guides (there were two vehicles) were friendly, humourous and informative. On top of that, they are good drivers. We have been on several day tours in France and we have also taken taxi a few times, we must say that our guides were the best drivers.

The guides were also thoughtful, towards the end of the day, we were "transferred" to another guide (whom we already met during lunch) because the other 5 people in our group needed to hastily return to Tours to catch their train. Our "transfer" was done, so that the two of us who are not in a rush could spend more time at Amboise. I think that it was an excellent arrangement and I really appreciated that!

Looking back on my 2 weeks vacation in France, that day was my favourite!
I would certainly recommend that you sign up with this company and I certainly intend to book another one of their tours when I revisit France! :)

Great agenda, great guide. Saw everything promised, and enjoyed it all. Sorry we didn't start closer and have more time at the various sites, but Caen was convenient for other activities,

Spectacular

The tour for Mont St. MIchel was outstanding. We left on time, had a great drive and arrived on time. We saw everything we wanted to see in a hassle free environment.

Wish he was my history teacher

Our tour of Normandy's American Sector was outstanding. Our tour guide was friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. The museums were interesting and some of the best graphics I have seen anywhere. The day long trip was a tip of the iceberg and just gave you a taste of things to see at Normandy as a 9 hour tour was just not long enough. We took another day to go back to our favorite sites to spend more time. To see the entire beaches of Normandy you need a week and tours of each section. Our guide separated fact from movie fiction and explained it very well. His maps and pictures he carried with him gave you the real story of what went wrong and how the forces, both German and American, dealt with it. He explained France's part in the invasion and it's part in the German and French Alliance. I was impressed! I just wished I had had him for a history teacher when I was in school. We ended the trip at the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach and it was sobering. We thank the people of Normandy for the humble tributes to the men who landed there 70 years ago. Your tour was the highlight of our trip!

Our guide was a student of. World war II She was very knowledgable and respectful. Highly recommend.

A trip to Normandy was not on my list of things to do ..... But should have been. I'd seen all the movies. I thought I knew it all. But there is nothing like seeing Omaha beach in person. Our guide was a young girl who had a surprising and very in depth understanding of what happened, what we came to see, and how we would react. She told great stories, showed photos on que and kept myself (50), my wife, my 17 and 15 year old daughters, my 13 year old son and my wife's mother thoroughly entertained. By far it was everyone's best experience on this trip

A beautiful day but disappointing in one respect.

I paid a higher amount to book this particular tour as my friend recommended the company and raved about the lunch and restaurant. When the driver was taking us to Normandy, I commented on lunch, and he said, no, lunch is on your own. I think I'm due a refund of about $100 (or more). There were many other D Day/Normandy tours to choose from, but I paid extra for this benefit and we were very disappointed. Lunch added an additional $40 to our trip!

A once in a lifetime experience.

Thank you France.com for the opportunity for my husband and I to take a tour of the D-Day landing beaches and important sites. Our tour was the highlight of our visit and we will be talking about it and reminiscing for decades to come.

An amazing trip to Paris and Normandy

Our trip to Paris and Normany, France in July was by far beyond our expectations! Many sincere thanks to Elodie at France.com for arranging our incredible itinerary. We explained to Elodie that we wanted a very high end and private experience in Paris and Normandy for our fist time trip with our six year old daughter. Elodie arranged accommodations at the Four Seasons, Geroge V steps from the Champs élysées. The accommodations were amazing to say the least. Elodie arranged private and semi private tours of the highlights of Paris, Moulin Rouge, the Louvre, cruises on the Seine, dinner in the Effiel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, a day trip to the Loire Valley including lunch at an amazing winery and a very special private two day tour of Normandy and Mount St. Michel including an overnight stay in an incredible chateau. Many thanks to Franck our tour guide and chauffeur for a very memorable and moving experience! We can't say enough about the quality of the tours and guides and of France.com. A True Quality Experience!

We were 5 couples who wanted to include Normandy & Versailles on our Tauck trip to France this past June, so we found France.com and were lucky enough to speak with John. What a great guy! We explained what we wanted and he knew exactly how to help us. As it turned out, our group of 5 couples became 4 couples and John was right there understanding our circumstance and making adjustments to the cost of the tours. On the morning of our tour to Normandy we were met by our guide, Pierre, and driver, Phillippe. It was a most beautiful 3 hour drive in our mini-van from Paris to Normandy and all the while Pierre answered our questions, gave us interesting tidbits of information, and was just delightful in his enthusiasm. Normandy was, indeed, a moving experience. Seeing the beaches where the Allied Forces landed...standing in the bunkers...visiting the American Cemetery...and all the while listening to Pierre's commentary...quite unforgettable. In the end, we can't thank John enough from France.com for his patience, charm, knowledge, and support. Because of him, we will always have some very special memories. Thank you!

Fairy tale journey through Burgundy vineyards

We had a very small window between business meetings and John (France.com) organised a perfect 5 day self guided walking tour of Burgundy. It was fabulous and very much like a Hansel & Gretel adventure. Zig-sagging through vineyards, wooded forests, wheat fields, quaint villages, chateaus, across stone bridges, picking wild cherries. Summer blooms everywhere, wild poppies sprinkling the landscape.
The hotel choices were suitable and we discovered a few lovely restaurants and caves. The weather was very kind to us, warm and sunny. Catherine was lovely, arranging to meet us when we arrived in Dijon, handing over instructions and hotel vouchers. She went into detail explaining our journey and transporting our luggage. The instructions were very well laid out, however we did get a tad confused a few times and took an alternate route. Nothing to complain about though and we quickly reconnected to the original map.

Each morning we checked out of our hotel (left luggage in foyer), set about our journey and arrived at the next town where our luggage was waiting, usually in our rooms and keys were handed over without any delay.

All in all we were transported to a fairy tale experience. Perfect and will definitely do another walk in the near future. Possibly a longer journey and a little more challenging.

Many thanks to France.com , John & Catherine for putting together a seamless excursion. Catherine even organised a taxi on the final day to make our return to Paris from Dijon a relaxing experience. The taxi was comfortable, clean, and driver polite and punctual.

The Best Visit to Normandy!

We have returned home from our trip with many good memories and our time in Normandy with Stephan, our tour guide that we booked from France.com, was definitely a highlight! Stephan was waiting for us when we got off our boat and seemed just as excited as we were to begin our tour. The van was very nice and we all had a very comfortable ride. Stephan asked us what we wanted to see and offered stories and highlights at every turn. We knew there was a lot of history to see there and Stephan helped us squeeze in everything we could. It was an especially eventful day since it was the anniversary of D-Day and so we saw soldiers dressed like the 1940s along with their jeeps, tanks, and tents. Stephan took us to several of the nearby towns and saw the churches and museums with much to offer as well as the cemetery and legendary beaches. He even took us to a little church off the beaten path (Angoville au Plain) with a unique story about two medics and the church so like them. Our kids really got a sense for what happened on D-Day from this trip and recounted many of the things we saw on our tour to friends and family.

Thank you, France.com, for providing Stephan, our excellent tour guide and making it well worth the price of the tour. Being on a cruise ship the mass tours they offer are far inferior to the one-on-one treatment we received. My Dad is planning a trip to Normandy next year and we told him to look up Stephan on France.com. And we will definitely contact you again on a return trip to France and recommend you to friends. You may use us as a reference as we are very satisfied customers.
