Efficient sensitive responsive service. Detour understood my interests and coached me in choosing the right itinerary and then made the booking and the details easy.

Detour put together an amazing trip based on my interests and preferences. I was so impressed by the local guides they scheduled me with, and I never had to worry as each piece of my trip fell into place as planned—my reservations were all in line, the tours were all on time, etc. They provided me with excellent customer service and put together the trip of a lifetime!

So far everything has progressed well, Layna put an attractive package together that suited my timetable and organised an agency to book all my airfares to suit (10 flights in total!) Nothing was too much trouble!

This company is wonderful. Layna was amazing, so helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to create our dream trip to Peru. Very thorough and she provided all the information and contact numbers before we left for our adventure.

Our experience with the planning process has been excellent - from offering great suggestions, customizing an itinerary for us, and answering our numerous questions promptly and cheerfully, we just couldn't be more pleased with Layna and Detour!!

Layna with Detour travel is truly awesome and expert in arranging our tour in Ecuador. Very accommodating to our needs and wants. Detour Travel is also mentioned in Lonely Planet travel guide. I would be very happy to have Layna again in any upcoming travels!

We had never taken a tour before and knew this trip would probably be our only one to the Galapagos, so we had many questions. Layna patiently answered many questions, both by phone and by email. Her answers led to our booking of the trip through this company. The trip was everything we could have wanted, with many chances to see the animals on our list, comfortable accommodations (all but one on the ocean front!), and heaping plates of delicious food, and comfortable transportation, The guides were friendly, efficient, patient, caring, and very knowledgeable! We really liked knowing that our trip was supporting the local people!

Layna was awesome to work with! We changed our mind many times before finalizing where we wanted to go. She very patiently worked with us and minimized stress through the booking process. Referrral to their partner agency for air transportation ensured the flights fit perfectly with our itinerary.

This was an expensive trip of a lifetime and everything went absolutely smoothly and without a glitch. Every pickup, transfer, accommodation, was as described and the trip itself was exceptional. It made a complicated trip easy.

We travel a lot and have never booked a tour before. I sent out many emails to many travel companies asking for information on trips to the Galapagos and Layna’s email stood out. She gave us 2 options for what we were looking for. Every time I had a question or concern she got right back to me with an answer. I highly recommend using this company for your travel needs!

I worked with Layna for planning Peru and Galapagos trip. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had to to cancel the Galapagos trip later, and make several changes to my Peru itinerary. Layna was extremely patient and guided me throughout the process. I was disappointed that the Galapagos Seaman tour company retained 20% as cancellation fee. Layna did provide several options to work around it, but did not work for me.
Overall great experience planning with Detour. Looking forward to see plan in execution next week.
