Nice little place for a couple or small family. The drive to Blowing Rock was short and really made us feel like we were in the mountains. This location is very close also to Valle Crucis where we dropped a line in the Watauga River and caught our first Rainbow Trout!

I have already sent a review. We thought the cabin was lovely and the view was awesome. It had everything you could possibly need. We only had one thing we spoke about. We feel you should leave more than 2 towels and bathcloths in the bathrooms. I know it is in the agreement on the rental but we have never stayed where linens were so few. We would come back to stay there. It was very nice and so convenient to the sights in the are.

We stayed at Big Rock Lodge for my 50th Birthday. The cabin was very nice but the HVAC system did not work. The house was hot at night and made it uncomfortable going to bed. It had cooled off by the next Morning my but hot in the evenings and at night. We will not stay at this cabin again.

The cabin was clean and nicely furnished. My only suggestion is that you provide a change of bath towels every 2-3 days. We were there 4 nights and even though we each had 2 sets of towels, the bathroom became "musty" after 2 days. Other than that everything was perfect!
