I have always had problems obtaining comfortable shoes, due to bunions. My daughter's wedding ,I felt ,was going to be a nightmare. Calla has beautiful comfortable well made shoes especially made for ladies like me. I purchased very glamorous 3" heeled shoes and I am delighted with them. The service was extremely good and can recommend this company.

The shoe is beautifully made (I bought the Gemma suede) but I was disappointed it was a bit short for UK size 9. I loved that it didn’t get really wide at the back as I have a narrow foot but my toes are definitely pushed right to the tip of the shoe. I would probably do better with an open sandal. I don’t think the UK 9 is true to size.

Hi Joan,
Thank you for taking the time to review our shoes.
I appreciate that in some brands a UK9 converts to a EU43 and in others an EU42. In our case we convert to an EU42 which may be why they felt a little short. I am sorry you were disappointed but I hope you enjoy your shoes and wear them in full comfort.

Amazing quality shoes, but shipping and returns to the US were extremely costly, compared to other companies. Paypal return coverage did not cover full cost of return shipping, possibly due to shoes being shipped in unnecessarily large box.
However, I still recommend these shoes for anyone with wide feet or bunions.

We try and keep our overseas postage at a minimum and do not hide any of it in the price of the shoes. We will always work to lower it were possible and review it regularly. I will of course, pass on your thoughts to the relevant department.

I still have not received my shoes, they appear to be stuck in customs. While I recognize that this is not Calla’s problem it is stressful.

Absolutely delighted with my shoes, ordered the black pumps and the red ones. They fit perfect.
Delivery was very good and the shoes were carefully packed and each came with a cloth bag.
I would have given five stars but I feel they are expensive and for me they are not every day shoes as I am very hard on shoes and will keep mine for going out maybe to the theatre or for a meal.

Whilst our shoes may feel a little more expensive it is because we do not cut corners on quality and comfort. All our leathers are chosen for the softness and all the padding for extra comfort.

This was my first time purchasing shoes from out of the country. The company has the right idea on fit for bunions. I was shopping for heels to wear for my son's wedding which was originally scheduled for May 24, 2020.
I wasn't big on the color of the one pair of shoes, and while the silver sandals were fairly comfortable, they would not have lasted on me for the entire event. Also, one of the shoes was not perfectly sewn together, making a small bump gap on the outside near the baby toe. Not terrible but not acceptable for the price.
I planned to send them back, but with the Covid 19 stay at home in California, USA, at the age of 65, I am not yet willing to venture into a postal shipping facility, so they sit in the box they came in. I did receive the 100 day return policy update for Covid, but have not looked back to see me order date to find my deadline.
I realize none ot the shipping part is your fault.

Please do not worry about the returns period, there is plenty of time to return the shoes. You placed the order on the 6th March so the shoe will not have been received by yourself for at least 5 days. This is when our returns period starts - upon receipt of the shoes.

I cancelled my order learning that the company could not guarantee arrival within the time I would need the product. The website lead me to believe that the product would arrive within 10 business days of placing the order; but between the delays in processing the order and the obscure holidays only celebrated in the UK, this was not possible. Canceling the order was easy, which is why this review still has received two stars. Now, despite asking to be taken off the mailing list multiple times, I continue to receive advertisements and surveys from the company. Hopefully this poor review motivates the marketing department to stop spamming individuals who have asked to be removed from their mailing lists.

I am sorry that we couldn't guarantee delivery in a suitable timeframe as international delivery takes 10 working days, which was longer than usual due to Christmas and New Years Eve.
