Just bought our second roll out nest box. They are great for keeping the eggs clean and from hens going broody. We reversed the bottom opening so we can access it from outside the coop. Looking forward to taking our 1 yr old out to collect eggs without the danger of going into the coop (rooster etc.)

We have had chickens for 6 years, and we recently got 8 new chick's (so 15 total chickens). When they grew up suddenly they all became egg eaters over Nighy!
We tried several things (pepper in the eggs, gathering eggs every 20 minutes all day long) and nothing worked. We would get about 1 or 2 eggs a day, IF we checked them every 20 minutres. It was time to get rid of the chickens.

We have a variety of hen breeds so we normally have white, brown blue, green, and tan eggs. Over the past 6 months we have only found brown eggs in the nest boxes and knew a couple chickens became egg eaters. They would even go back and forth to the nest box to check if there were more. So rather than get new chickens we bough the best nest box. I put it in front of the old boxes so they couldn't use then and waited. The first day only 1 chicken used the box. Now a couple months later all the chickens use the Best Nest Box and we now have a variety of eggs again. Not saying our egg eating problem is over but it makes it much more difficult for them to eat their eggs when they roll away. I would buy this again!

This is a good product and a better idea. There were screws missing when I received, a hole in the plastic bag so I imagine they were lost in shipping, not the manufacturer’s fault. The chickens can be trained to use however I had to remove one of the red privacy shades as they would not go in the box. After some training they use this very well.

I am thrilled with my new Best Nest Box. It came right away and I put it together and hung it in the run. At first the girls were scared of it. One of them tried to fly on top of it and slid off. One by one the girls started laying, at first in the coop and on the ground ground. I put a cinder block in front of the nest box as a step. Now I have 8 girls laying and 7 are using the Best Nest box! The eggs are clean and I no longer have to worry about the chickens breaking the eggs and eating them. Thank you Best Nest Box!

Very pleased with the quality of the product, speed of delivery, and ease of assembly. Not all chickens are the same and you may need to use a few tricks to get them to use the box. However once they are laying in there, it works as advertised.

Works a little differently than I expected but does its intended job perfectly. I put the bar up while gathering eggs and at around 10:00 each night, "pop" it comes back down freeing me from rising with the chickens and manually lowering it. Installation was easy, the instructions even told you what tools you need. I LOVE my Best Nest Boxes, and this is a labor-saving addition.
