An excellent well run event. Well marshalled and good facilities at start and finish.

Really well organised. To improve for next year it would be great if there were more distance markers in the last mile, eg 500m to go, 200m to go. This helps when to start the sprint finish.

Lovely race. Think that the start was quite congested with all the stalls either side and didn't really give people chance to warm up and spread out before the hill. Could the race start towards the park end of town? The last 500M was very congested with supporters and traffic with kerbs to conquer among the crowds. But all in all a great race.

Winchester is such a lovely place. Beautiful scenery and the course is hilly especially the first mile. Enjoyed the race but could mark out how far the finish line is.

A tough course with all the hills. Well-supported by local residents. Start area a little bit tight with the barriers. Nice finishing in front of the Guild Hall & then resting my weary limbs in the nearby park after collecting my racing t-shirt. Was not overly clear where to start with a view of proposed race times but noticed when the pace runners joined the starters. Decent finishing medal. I ordered the hoodie as well!

I realise this is a personal thing, but I need a few miles to get 'warmed up' and breathing properly. The long 3 mile steep hill up at the very start of the race just completely depleted me for the rest of it. I didn't therefore enjoy the rest as much as I might have, as there were some lovely views and the country lanes were nice to run. I also found the last mile twisting round each corner very frustrating, and found myself yelling, 'I need to see the finish line, now!' If the same course were to be run I may not tackle it again, and I would warn others about the sapping start!

A well organised event. Lovely scenic route but very hilly if you are not used to hills, like myself, a tough course.

Fantastic event on my doorstep. Winchester was buzzing. The organisation was slick and hassle free. The 3 girl marshals at about 5 miles made me smile. Very enthusiastic!! Then running through the square and past my shop was amazing. So many friendly faces cheering me on. Great freebies at the end and all in all a brilliant event. Thank you x

Well marshalled race. Hills but at least these were in the first half.

We really enjoyed the Half Marathon last Sunday. Only comment would be, we as a group didn't feel all the mile markers were entirely accurate in terms of their placement - there were at least two that were closer together than a one mile distance, and mile 12 seemed more than one mile from the finish. Apart from that, great route, great views and a good event all round.

Fantastic event! Extremely well organised. Communication was brilliant with competitors. I got my race pack through nice and early. On the day of the race it was all very smooth, great staff, great marshals, great course and support as well! The only tiny little thing was that the finisher t'shirts were handed out before the race and people were wearing them. I mean why wear a finisher shirt when you haven't done the race yet? But it is only a tiny point and it didn't deter from the actual event

Great event, well organised. Lovely route with good amount of water stops and bottles of water which I prefer. Nice atmosphere, lots of people around to help with anything needed.

quite a tough course, but enjoyable. The run down into St Cross was quite tricky - lots of corners and didn't feel overly safe underfoot. I got to the start line at 9.35 and because it was so narrow was with the 2h 40 ((ish) pace setters - could the area have been wider and more clearly marked (e.g with signs) the target times at the start line?

Liked pacers running the route and marshals on bikes - all helpful and friendly. Liked the course route, nice to head out of the city to Hursley. Good to have supporters chearing on runners but could have advertised event more to encourage more people to line the route. Good to see lots of people running and never felt to crowded and no bottlenecks on route.
