After several phone conversations, it was clear that Oliver and VCL are serious about whisky and its investment potential. I am now the proud owner of two barrels of an already fine tipple, destined to improve while under the eye of their man on the ground. Recommended!

Visit to Royal Brakla Cask Warehouse, Cawdor, on 8th November 2023 to see one of our Investment Casks . Auchroisk 2017. Myself and Brother in Law Drew Walls met VCL Staff Charlie and Russell as well as Warehouse Manager Kevin. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the conversations we had with the above 3 people. It certainly opened our eyes to the amount of work involved in storing of casks. 52,000 casks on site. Just the enormous visual image of this along with the " aroma" within warehouse was staggering. Quite something to be in there. Our thanks to all staff as well as Martha and Tommy in London HQ. The Warehouse staff had "our" barrel moved and there on site for easy access to see and touch. I think both Drew and I were almost overwhelmed with the emotion and adventure of seeing and touching our " investment" . It was also a pleasure to see the process of "running off" a sample for each of us . Again thanks to all for that. For us to have that done in front of us was just tremendous . Thanks also for taking pictures of us with barrel by your special camera. Our experience was also enhanced by the very knowledgeable conversion we had with all of you there. We learned a lot more about Whisky cask maturing, Cask Storage and various stages of storage over the years. We both thoroughly enjoyed this visit and experience and it fulfilled the " adventure and dream" of owing our own Cask of whisky. A brilliant day . Further to that day and a few days later we both sampled our Auchroisk whisky and it was just fantastic. Light coloured, warm rich and most enjoyable. A brilliant experience . Thanks again. George was hugely helpful and informative and spent whatever time was needed to answer all my questions in a positive, professional and friendly manner - he clearly know his job and this market exceptionally well. I am impressed with the knowledge and approachability of the staff at VCL. The Investment documents arrived with a very nice package of samples of some of my investments. Also, the quarterly VCL Vintners Post is a very educational and entertaining read. I look forward to seeing my investments grow and to learn more about and enjoy more of the experience of Whisky.

I was looking for an investment that I felt I could engage with, and this seems to have hit the spot. Shane is easy to contact and a pleasure to talk to. He answered all my questions with patience. The transaction was simple to do online. I’m yet to see what the returns will be, but I feel that the personal service, including samples and newsletter, make this an investment I am comfortable with.

Great info from Shane from start to finish. Easy process to invest in some whisky casks, cant comment on long term results yet but like all investing its risk and reward. Very happy with VCL and Shane so far.

Very professional service from Ben at VCL Vintners. Absolutely no pressure put on me to invest and I have been kept fully informed of the process throughout. While being at the lower end of the investment level that they deal with, I was not made to feel any less welcome than somebody investing a million quid. The welcome pack arrived today and just shows the quality and level of the company.

Still early days as I only recently invested in Whisky casks. But so far I have found the process relatively straight-forward, and found Shane approachable & easy to deal with.

Mr Benjamin Lancaster got in touch after an email enquire. He was pleasant and explained the proses without fancy jargon or pushing you into buying. After the weekend with a planned call he came back with on offer after my concern of leaving myself short of cash. I was then happy with his offer and signed up.

Shane blends friendliness and professionalism, delivering a good balance and generating a very good rapport . We are first-time investors, so his patience and significant time-investment were very welcome. He answered all questions as comprehensively as I could have wished. He was proactive, but not pushy, and was receptive to comments on the proposed portfolio of casks; with his help, we ended up with a range that we are comfortable meets our objectives and allows some flexibility. His excellent service-delivery has maintained subsequent to our investment. Highly recommended.
