It seems to be working well, just wish it was a little lighter weight. The original lanyard opened twice by itself and you sent me a areplacement which is working but I don’t have full confidence that it won’t open by itself again, especially when I am away from home.

It has not been a week yet but seems well. Bob, from EMS Life Link picked up that system equipment and helped set up my Medical Care Alert System. My power went off yesterday for a short time, but all seems well. No major alarms. I will do my one week test Thursday or Friday.

I had to return it due to our family situation. I have knocked off 2 stars because there is absolutely no excuse for taking a month to process a refund AFTER the return was received. You just open the box and check it. If everything is returned as new, that should take 2 minutes to check it then how long does a refund to the card take. The service itself seems fine but we didnt get to really use it.

Excellent care interns of quick phone responses. Fortunately I didn’t need an emergency alert. I wished that the pendant was smaller. If it had been, I would have worn it all the time. Instead, I constantly wore the Bedside Buddy. Its range did not extend very far in my house, rendering it almost useless, but also the Buddy’s cloth band broke twice. Thank you for your service.

The staff that I spoke with were very helpful and knowledgeable. However, the shipping department was less than accurate causing the Post Office to return the unit as not deliverable. Once the error was corrected, the company overnighted the unit to my father. The set-up procedure was easy to follow especially with the link to the video provided to us via email.

From the beginning until the device was mailed to me, the representative was helpful and knowledgeable. She left me alone to work things out with my family and didn't send me a hundred emails asking if I was ready, she was patient with me and that made the whole process a whole lot smoother. I have had almost all wonderful experiences with Medical Care Alert. The people who answer the phone whenever my device goes off, to a person, have all been very professional, but also very kind and 'warm.' They make you feel safe and reassured, even when it's a false alarm (which, for me, is all that I've had. I'm a rather active 74 year old lady and live on a farm and have a garden, so mine often goes off when I'm working outside. It even goes off sometimes when I stand up from using the bathroom. (I think it has a 'hair trigger, but it gives me reassurance that it will go off if I ever have a real emergency. The people who 'work in the office' have been consistently helpful and friendly as well. My only quibble is that the wristband on my Bedtime Buddy arrived WAY too big. It might have fit a sumo wrestler. I was able to make it fit by folding it in two places and using a big safety pin to make it small enough to fit. I have found that I can make my own band just by buying a pack of Velcro fasteners at the craft/sewing area at WalMart (comes in several different colors with a slot to secure the small end of the homemade 'wristband.' I called to see if I could clip off the original Sumo Wrestler band and replace it with the Velcro from WalMart. I was told that if I did, I would have to pay for the device because it would have been tampered with. So I still have the Sumo wristband with my Velcro one that fits underneath the Sumo. (Are they going to re-use the Sumo length wristband on another customer when it gets sent back after I'm done with it? I don't think anyone would want a frayed, stained wristband!---Now that's the ONLY problem I've had! They have bent over backward to let me try the newest emergency button (which wouldn't work for me) and did not complain when I sent it back. Other than the Sumo Wrestler wristband and my effort to fix it so that it fits my wrist, I have not had a single problem. I think it's a great company with wonderful people on the phones and in the office, and it works in all 50 states. I can press the button if I'm in a city and get frightened, thinking I might be being followed, or if I think there's someone trying to get into the house, or if I see a fire, and know that there will be someone there to get help, and with the GPS they can locate where I am without my trying to remember my address or location.

I received a phone call that Medical Alert got a message of a battery problem with my system. It was explained to me the step to correct the problem. I a few days I received my new bracelet and necklace. I followed the simple instructions which I performed and was back to normal. Very pleased with my Medical Care Alert system.

My experience was good but not extraordinary. If I had a complaint, it would be how long it took to receive the partial refund (nearly 60 days from the notification date). Still, I appreciate that there was a refund. I didn't think to ask for that, as I made the notification the day after my mother died. The refund took my experience from a 3-star to a 4-star review (and my likely recommendation from a 7 to a 9).

I was a little disappointed to find that the communication is through the base station only and not the pendant. Mom is hard of hearing so when in another room it concerns me a bit. also, I was told the kit would include pendant and wrist buttons but only the pendant was included. Set up and testing were simple and operators very courteous.

What a godsend. We had been signed up less than a month when mom fell in the garage and couldn't move. You talked to her, kept her calm, and got her help. She ended up back home with only bad scrapes and bruises. Without you, she could have been in that garage for hours. Thank you.

Your system is fine. It was the EMS Life Link representative who installed your system..attaching it to the wireless modem, etc. He walked me through the first line check call. Most people who work with this kind of installation would have a difficult time installing it...and..I am very computer savvy.

In general, it was a good service. However, there are some specific areas that could be improved. 1) battery life was a mystery. It seemed to always need to be charged just when you were about to go somewhere, and on several occasions it directed me to place the unit on the charger, and I had just removed it from the charger. 2) On several occasions, it thought I needed help when I had not fallen or even made a sudden movement. On at least once, the unit was in fact sitting on a hard surface and had not even been moved. 3) I only really fell once, and the unit did not detect it. 4) Instructions for cancelling a call could be clearer. It took me several trials before I realize that the second time I held the button down I needed to keep it down until it responded. 5) It was sometimes irritating to be awakened by the unit telling me it needed to be charged. When there was a contact by your personnel, it was always prompt and professional, even if no assistance was required. I never tested the GPS accuracy of the unit, but assume it was accurate. I like the fact that there was a lockbox with key for emergency personnel. I thought the service was a good value.

Told me they would send instructions on what to do with the equipment. It was very informative, step by step which helped tremendously. Unable to find original box but packed everything in a regular box which worked. Only had 2?weeks from time if call which I felt was tight due to everything going on in our lives.
