A nice addition to our chinken coop, they are laying eggs while I'm doing other chores, i adapted it to my homemade nest boxes, ill try to get a picture for you

I like the looks of it it went together easily but the chickens will not use it and it's the only nest box they have available they still insist on laying everywhere but in it lol

I love the box it’s Mazimg. Really expensive and the thing to put them down is $150

For the money it should slide up and down better than it does. The slides are not very durable and they were installed correctly

They haven't used it yet as they have other built in boxes to use. I will encourage them in spring. Product is well made table materials and a great idea!

I love these! Except for the price!

The chickens have not laid their eggs in it. When I put an egg in it it got stuck and did not roll all the way out.

Excellent construction but my chickens just won’t go in to use it. I taped the curtain up and had one chicken lay one egg but that’s it. Not sure what went wrong

I was so pleased to get it a lot quicker than I thought I was going to get it and at 65 and alone it only took me about an hour to put it all together .I am very pleased and I’m sure my young pullets will enjoy it in the next few months as well .The craftsmanship is excellent thank you for your integrity and making such a fine tool!

Easy to put together and works awesome!

I bought my unit in February 2021. It is now July 2021 and it is completely dead. I replaced the batteries and still nothing. Screen is completely blank, no lights coming on and cannot manually move the door at all. Waiting to see what Chicken Guard will do. I won't buy another for my new coop. Sad to see Best Best Box passes the customers off to the company in the UK and doesn't offer direct warranty coverage.

Product is well-built. It takes a long time for the hens to get used to using it. Two weeks and our hens still won't lay in it. Was originally going to send it back (unopened) because we found a much better and cheaper used product after ordering this one. However when contacting customer service, they were going to charge so many fees in addition to shipping that it was going to cost practically the same as the purchase price to return it. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

This is a game changer on our homestead with about 50 layers, especially since I was the one mainly to deal with all the dirty eggs :) Mr Joel Salatin has said that if you're dealing with more than 10% dirty eggs it''s a management issue. We were at >90% before this new nest box. Thanks God we are now at far less than 10% dirty with the new box (only rarely a hen will lay outside the box, perhaps before we open it in the morning). Has been a huge blessing -- thank you!

Great nests and work well but should include roost poper to keep hen’s from roosting for the price of them.

The Best Nest Box is a smashing success! The package arrived in perfect condition in the box. I unwrapped and laid all the parts out and the skimmed man style over the instructions. Which were man proof. It took me 1 hour and 5 minutes to assemble the Best Nest Box while drinking my coffee and listening to my favorite homestead podcast. All the parts were in perfect condition. There were no sharp edges. And everything went together with no difficulty. I placed it in my coop and removed all but one old nest box and gave my girls 3 days to get used to it. After the three days I removed the old nest box and the girls took to the new Best Nest Box with no issue. I love the nice clean and unbroken eggs I find every day! I am really pleased with this item and would highly recommend using it in your coop.

The box is cool but my chickens don t want to use it …

We have been using the Beat Neat Box for a little under a month. We find it extremely useful. The eggs are clean and easy to gather. All but one of our egg-laying hens have adapted to the box very quickly. The box is well-made and we appreciate the folded corners during assembly. Nicely done!

Hens are very curious about the new nest, I taped up one curtain and they are starting to use by second day, so I let it back down. They seem to really like it and no more dirty eggs!!!!

This is just wonderful! My hens are penned in at night so this is added security to keep them safe during the night.

The Perch when open to get to the door for where the eggs roll does not open easily. I have to push out on the side to get it to open. It looks like I am going to need to use a grinder to get it to open correctly.

This works great and did the trick as some of our hens were pecking at the eggs. We also purchased the smaller ones as some of the hens like more privacy I guess. They lay in all of them now. I think this large box should have 2 partitions inside, I would have paid extra for something like that. A couple broody hens are hogging the box so the other hens are reluctant to go in there. I think the partitions would have helped. I put some pieces of cardboard with duct tape and this helped for a little while until the tape came off and they knocked the cardboard off. Ended up buying the small ones as well. I prefer the large one so there are less lids to open,

So fa so good. Chickens started using it the first day.

Love it, even chickens that are 2 years old started using it after shoving them in it a couple times and leaving an egg in it. Works great!!

My husband was skeptical about Best Nest. I tried for years to talk him into trying it. This last year we had egg eaters and had to do something new. So we decided to try Best Nest. It came in perfect condition and we quickly assembled it. It took less than a week and the majority of our hens were laying eggs safely in their Best Nest. We are planning on buying another for our younger hens. Our eggs are safe and clean.

The nest boxes are nice. Sometimes our eggs don’t roll all the way. They get caught on the upper part of the roll space. Also, a piece of cardboard at the end of the roll helps to soften the ending.

My chickens will not use this, the opening is very small and maybe the metal scares them? I place them in and the jump out as fast as they can. I've placed all their eggs in there with straw everyday for a month now. No luck. Wish I had not purchased this very expensive box. I even taped the flaps up so they can see the eggs in there, no luck.

The Best Nest Box is a huge upgrade from the homemade nesting box we had previously. The chickens quickly learned to lay their eggs in the nesting box and all of the eggs are safely collected in the tray. Before this, their eggs were dirty and the chickens often ate them, but now they are clean and unbroken - a huge time saver! I've already recommended this nesting box to several friends.

Very nice nesting box! Simple and effective rollaway. Eliminates your girls eating the eggs. They are still shy about using it but they are older and stuck in their ways. I should've purchased one years ago! With this I do not even need to go inside the coop/run. Love it!

I am so glad to have purchased my Perch Popper. My hens have not started laying yet, but it will be just fantastic to have their nest box open automatically. I wish I had known about the Perch Popper and the Best Nest Egg Box years ago!

This is the coolest product for chickens ever!! My kids love collecting eggs from this nest box. We had absolutely no problem getting our girls to lay in them, they took to them like a duck to water.

Quite the amazing product. Girls are about one year old and adjusting from the old nest boxes to this one quite well. Taped the middle section up and they started laying the next day. A couple took a few days to become convinced it wouldn't eat them, but they are doing great now. Bought this because I had a couple that were eating eggs. Now this has been solved. Thank you so much!!

The reversible nest box was slot more useful than I thought. I was able to mount it through the wall and gather eggs without having to go into the coop. It gives me the flexibility to change configuration in the future when we continue to scale up. It's a great design and provides very clean eggs. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I love these boxes. I bought five and within 1 week we have eggs in 4 of them. We have a couple broody hens in larger box we bought a while ago so the smaller box makes it more available to the other hens.

It took my girls about a week to figure it out. After a couple of days I introduced two fake eggs. Eggs are alway clean and easy for the grandkids to collect. No problem to assemble or install.

The girls took a little while to get the hang of the box but now we catch two birds laying together at times and have zero issues with them "talking" when we come in the coop and a bird is nesting. Compared to my MIL'S non-curtained boxes (not best nest), where when she goes in the coop, they tell her how they'd like to be left alone. Would definitely recommend and would personally purchase again if we should need.

Wore the first one out so a replacement was needed. Best thing ever to keep eggs cleaner and gently usher them outside the box!

The box is built very sturdy, quick and easy assembly. Although, it is a $200.00 wall ornament. It has a fake egg in to attempt to lure the birds in, they have no interest at all. Put in plastic containers with straw inside and had eggs the next day from two different hens. Any suggestions how to get the birds to use this expensive wall unit? Thank you

Love it! super easy to put together. Kids and I did it fairly quickly. The hardest part was the compression screw for the perch bar. The picture says it all. we were having a terrible time with dirty eggs as seen in the one bucket. Contrasted with the best nest eggs in the other bucket that are beautifully clean. It really is the Best Nest. To quote Dr. Seuss, "I love my nest, in all the world this neat is best. " Sorry, can't seem to figure out how to load the photo.

Easy assemble, just installed, hen haven’t used it yet

Amazing design. Amazing results. As long as you know how chickens think and behave you can get them to use this thing no problem. My chickens are true free range birds so in order to get them to use the best nest I had to start by leaving them in the pen while they were acclimated to the nest box. I put the box on the ground with the curtains taped up and filled it with straw. After they understood that they werent going to be allowed out they started laying it on the straw. Then after a week I let down one curtain and did that for 2 more weeks. Then after another week I started letting the straw get kicked out until it was just the plastic liner. After that they were using it perfectly everyday. Now I just let them out of the pen around 10-11am so that the best nest is the only place they lay their eggs. This nest box will save you money in the long run because you dont have to waste time washing eggs, searching for them, or losing them to hens or rats eating them. In the past I was only able to recover maybe 8-10 eggs a day from my 20 hens now I get 18 eggs a day minimum. Keep up the good work guys.

I really like the large nest box. My amount of chickens has increased so I needed another box. The 1st one I've had for 3 years and is sitting next to the new nest box. So now my 30 hens have a lot of space to lay. Good product.

I like the design. Neatly engineered and a simple assembly. Was able to install in my coop with little effort. I was a bit suspicious of this size being able to handle 13 laying hens. Now, the issue could be with my hens, they are new layers, getting used to it, but I've never seen two birds in this box. And my issue is some some hens really hog the box, like that roommate we've all had with the early morning bathroom. This is forcing other hes to lay on the ground. I can tell they want to get in the nest box, but the one in there won't allow it, and those not allowed make a lot of noise and even walk on top of the box and I think this prolongs the stingy hens laying an egg. If I were to do it over, I would get 3 of the small version. This medium size isn't big enough for two hens and they aren't allowing sharing anyway. I do like the design, and when it works, it works well. So, I think I will place an order for 2 more small ones if this pattern continues with my hens. Overall, I like the system, but I have to figure the kinks out with my hens. Edit: I am leaving the above standing for reference. This is a great company. Customer service is excellent. When a company would rather lead you along the proper path than sell you more of their product, you're dealing with honest people who care about integrity. I am going to follow through with the advice I received and report back.

I really like this nest box. It has been working great. I did have to place a pice of tin under the wire mesh where the eggs collect as I think the ladies are pecking at the eggs waiting to be collected. May be a consideration and the next model? Otherwise this nest box was well worth the money thank you very much.

Well made and well packaged easy to assemble, my older hens are still getting used to the new Medium Reversible Rollaway Nest Box but they are coming around. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future. I am recommending the Medium Reversible Rollaway Nest Box to my chicken friends

These egg boxes are awesome, best value for your money. Not only does this provide an excellent way to keep eggs clean and from being eaten its very cost effect. I build coops proffesionally and I cannot build a better egg box cheaper than this. I would like to see some improvements on hanging them. I always install these in Reverse setup so I fit inbetween henhouse framing and then screws in bottom. So predrilled holes on bottom and bigger tabs on side would be great (or tabs on bottom even better) . These are very minor issues , doesn't keep me from buying and recommending.

Purchased long before I needed, and have had it assembled and waiting for my first ever egg. I put this together with my 9 year old son, and instructions were clear enough for both of us to understand. Careful packaging and strong materials, we were satisfied with the finished product that took us about half an hour to assemble. Then we took it to the coop and simply set it on the floor. Yesterday we got our first egg! We didn't have to tape up flaps or use any tricks. It was like Christmas, opening the roll off cover to such a beautiful gift! The ladies seem happy, and so are we!

Excellent box and excellent customer service. I called before I bought with questions. Someone picked up very quickly and answered all my questions. Got the box, put it in the coop and had more questions on how to get already laying chickens to lay in the box. Again someone picked up very quickly and and her suggestions worked. We are née to having chickens and when looking for a nesting box, this one caught my attention. It shipped quickly, was easy to assemble and my chickens have already taken to their new home!

The end product is great. Pay a little more and in this case get a better product. What was really nice is how good the recyclable packaging did the job and how easy it was to put together. Use a cordless driver with a magnetic bit and it is fast too. There is just one tricky part to "hinge" the egg cover, but I did it by myself. I waited a week to order another one, but I knew I would when I opened the box on the first one. I am using them with the "reverse" and do not have to enter the coop to get the eggs. Way better that way, I think.
