Great product!

We are new to having chickens and were searching for a nest box. We came across the Best Nest Box and I am so glad we did! Very easy to put together, and the chickens started using it pretty quick!

Chickens took to it within 2 days. Now I'm getting a more consistent production and the eggs are so dang clean! Worth the money so far I just hope it holds up well.

Shortly after WW II, my grandfather started a poultry operation in CA. He designed and built wire cages for his chickens with this same idea - sloped cage bottoms that moved the eggs into a tray outside of the cage. I’m super happy with the very sturdy design and manufacturing of this product. It’s honestly very refreshing to receive an item that exceeds expectations. Thank you and keep up the good work.

It was easy to put together and easy to clean.

Well I do love the quality but the instructions were not well written and took me a lot longer than 15 minutes to put together. Having said that the quality of the product was top notch and well packaged with no damage on delivery. If I needed more I would not hesitate to buy again. As I only will have 20 chickens the large size is sufficient. Thank you Best Nest Box for an excellent well designed product.

Chickens are young Hope they will be laying soon

For some reason some of our younger hens started laying on the floor of the coop instead of the nest boxes. I tried obstacles and other tricks to try and discourage them, but nothing seemed to help until I put one of your single boxes on the floor. The girls started using it immediately! Problem solved.

Best egg system ever

We started off ordering one nest as a test for our chickens. Once our birds adapted to it they work wonder. About 90 percent of the eggs come out clean and unpecked. Once we confirmed that these boxes worked for our operation we converted all of our mobile coops over to the best nest box. Now we use 12 boxes total. I highly recommend these boxes.

We purchased these for our movable chicken tractor. I was told we might have to put some weatherstripping on the edges since the boxes won't always be level. We never got around to it (yet) and only get a few cracked or broken eggs. I think the chickens might be part of that problem since the cracking started when the girls went broody and they were reaching into the back to steal the eggs back to put under them. I was told this would not allow the girls to go broody as easily, but I hate to say I have more broody this year than in the past few years we have used other boxes. I called my order in and the customer service was great. I had a problem with a bent box on my first order and they took care of having it shipped back to them and my replacement was here very quickly.

Easy to set up. Easy to install. Easy to clean. Couldn’t have asked for anything better, and we just got our first egg ever today as a nice surprise!

Excellent experience all around. Called ahead to make payment arrangements and customer service couldn’t have been better or more polite. Very helpful for a first time buyer! Assembly of the box took approximately 30 minutes, and another 30 minutes for custom install on the coop for reverse roll away orientation. Within 48 hours birds were laying in the box no problems. Eggs come out clean and ready with no washing required, much unlike other options available or yard picked. Will highly recommend Best Nest Box to any and everyone. My experience in raising chickens since I was young and now I have many of them but I'm tired of collecting eggs and cleaning it from the dirt so I love boxes that will help me to collect eggs easily without the trouble or fatigue so I decided to buy from your site

Hands down the best nesting box I’ve had! I just purchased my third box and will like purchase more as my flock expands. The hens adjusted very quickly using the tips provided and I get much cleaner undamaged eggs!

I did a trial test this summer as my family has launched into chickens. After some Amazon and internet research I ordered 2 Best Nesting Boxes and 2 from Hengear. Final cost after shipping was $10 difference. My children did assembly. I chose the cheaper more time intensive Best Box assembly. My children complained about the Hengear boxes - sharp edges, poor cuts (pieces not lining up - difficulties assembling), plus the Hengear boxes came without a back panel. Something not obvious during ordering. They praised Best Noxes and asked that I only order those going forward. I verified and validated Their perceptions an analysis. Only Best Boxed going forward for our chicken tractors!

Love it, first clean eggs in 7 years!

instructions would have been nice, but was able to assemble any ways. mat is easy to remove for cleaning. good construction. swapped fasteners out where needed for mounting to 2x4 studs. just waiting for chickens to start laying.

This is my second Best Nest Box....my flock has grown necessitating two. I love these boxes. The boxes are easy to assemble (I ordered the partially assembled model) and very easy to put up. My daughter and I were able to manage the entire assembly and placement of boxes. I give the Best Nest Box an excellent recommendation! I find my eggs clean and undamaged when I collect them. I cant get the birds to use it. I tried the tips... Not sure what to do. I am getting eggs layed in the corner of the coop, but none in the box.. I have put them in there, they turn around and jump out. The box is as clean as it was 3 weeks ago when i put it in the coop. I have ceramic egg in the box. PLEASE HELP

We purchased 2 of the large nesting boxes and the hens went straight to them and all were laying in them by the next day. The hens are happy which means they are laying more eggs and our eggs are now super clean and look great!! Assembly was also very easy. I’d recommend this product to anyone!

electronic communication is slow. But the product is amazing, and the people are very helpful and friendly.

Our three year old daughter is our "flock manager" with her support crew being me, her father and her little brother. She is in charge of chicken chores and sells eggs to pay for the chickens feed. We have 35 hens and before buying this nest box we were struggling with cracked/eaten and poop covered eggs. We like to get away to the mountains to play in the snow and camp in the summer. When we returned the nest boxes were always a NASTY mess (overflowing with eggs, lots of cracked shells and EVERYTHING was covered in poop!) This nest box is a GAME changer!!! We went out of town for 4 days last week came home to loads of clean eggs tucked safely away in the roll away compartment. We do have a few hens going rogue and laying eggs in random places but it's the minority. I suggest keeping your coop locked down until early afternoon the first few days so they don't find other places to lay. There are so many "best" things about the Best Nest Box but the one my daughter loves the most is that she can now be independent in egg collection. Before she couldn't reach all the nest boxes so she always needed a helper to collect. Now she (at 3 years old) can go out to the coop, flip up the perch, open the roll away compartment and collect ALL BY HERSELF! I love this nest box and don't regret the investment.

Easy to install my 10 year old son put it together for me and my husband installed in the coop.

The assembly was easy and took about 30 minutes. Our chickens didn't care for it at first after having a 10 hole box. Eggs are cleaner so less time cleaning eggs.

I ordered one nest box and was so impressed with the clean and unbroken eggs that I ordered a second one to accommodate the 24 pullets I just moved into the same barn. As a tool, I would give it a perfect score as it is well designed in that chickens can't roost on the top, the angle allows the eggs to roll without breaking and the pad inside allows me to save money and time on the shavings I used to put in the old boxes. The inside lacks compartments which allows more birds to use the box and the flaps keep it dark which the chickens prefer. That said, it took me an hour to set up the boxes, even the second time around after I was familiar with the directions and parts, and I have been farming all my life; you may want to give a range of time 40-60 minutes. In addition, there were people who complained that the hens would not use the box. I took out all the old nest boxes in the barn, and spent two hours or so for three straight mornings putting confused chickens in the the new boxes. This confusion is not due to the new nest boxes, rather to a change in their habitat, so hang in there and help them acclimate to the new nests. After 15 or so hens (I have 55) used the box, others figured it out and now only one or two hens lay on the floor. Those hens are the lowest in the pecking order, so they are scared to enter the boxes with other hens in there, which brings me to the other point. I think two boxes can handle 75 birds, but I don't think one can handle 45 as some times many chickens need to lay around the same time of the day, and they can't all fit into one box at the same time. Overall, these boxes are saving me time gathering, and cleaning the eggs, and chickens no longer can soil nest boxes by perching on them or sitting in them with their eggs. Also, I was losing about 4 eggs a day due to breakage, but this issue has now been eliminated. Do yourself a favor and buy the nest box.

Top notch quality product! We ordered the Large Best Nest Box with 40 minute assembly. It assembled much faster than that. We were nervous having first year birds try it out and uncertain if they would like it. They took to the boxes and LOVED them. Thank you so much for such a great product. Easy to put together

I installed the Best Nest Box in a trampoline that I welded hog panels on. No chickens yet as we are still finishing the prototype chicken house.

It was easy to assemble and the build quality is very good. Some of our chickens went in and started laying shortly after installing.

My nesting box arrived timely and was very easy to assemble. My hens have been nesting inboxes with shavings for 2-4 years. I wasn’t sure how they would take to the new box, but we had no problems.

I purchased 2 of the large reversible nest and extra nest pads to take to Baja Mexico . Our high school group from our church goes down each year to work with an orphanage, ninos de Baja. On a previous trip they had mentioned that they would like to build a chicken coop for the kids to take responsibility of and use the eggs in the orphanage. The staff at best nest was great. When I called they made sure they got the order out quickly so we had it in time for our trip. The Nest went together well. 2 of the students put it together on their own. We were able to complete the chicken coop in the week we were there and on the last day get 20, 18 week old pullets for them to get started with. In talking to the director the chicken coop and Nest has worked out great and they are getting 17 to 18 eggs a day. We only built one of the chicken coops for the girls and on another trip we are going to do the one for the boys with the second Nest that we purchased. Thanks again in the product works great.

Works so good! Retrofitting into coop was super easy. Stays clean and the ladies started using immediately.

Installed the nest box in the old sunroom in about 1 minute with two screws into the back and a 2x4 shelf to support the bottom, then put some hay inside so new hens might get the idea, took a few days, several eggs a day, slowly removed a small amount of the hay, now 2 weeks later I get more than a dozen eggs a day using the nest box, the geese in the photo look like they want their own nest box...

This is our second one, so it only took about 15 minutes to assemble. Within seconds after hanging it directly above the other, there was a chicken utilizing!

I was looking for nest box. My girls would peck the eggs in the box that I had. I need a change. So Google and YouTube was my friend. I found the best nest box. I got one and the girls just love it. I got more eggs without holes in them. I got more eggs period. I was getting 5 eggs a day now I'm getting 16 a day with 19 hens. It is a great investment. The eggs are clean to no more poop stuck on them.

Hi, i first purchased 1 large nest box after i saw the results i went on to buy my second large best nest box, now i am in the process of buying a few more!! the quality of the egg is much better + the egg loss due to cracked is almost zero. Great product!

Super Awesome nest box, not sure how we did it without these before!

This truly is the best nest box. The whole transaction was simply great. I think the 40 minute assembly is a generous assumption. It really only took at 25 minutes and that was including time I had to take it apart and correct my mistake. I tried a homemade roll out style nest box but the hens were sleeping in them and the eggs were extremely dirty and some broken. I have had only 3 broken eggs so far. The eggs come out super clean and don’t require any scrubbing. I wish I would have found this sooner!

Well, it still seems like the box will work well. Unfortunately, the girls have decided they don't like it, for whatever reason and have completely stopped laying eggs--it's been a week now. I will give them a few more days. Surely, they can't hold their eggs forever. Perhaps we need to exchange our birds for ones that aren't so picky.

Thirty seven minutes, 58 seconds! The hardest part was unpacking it. The girls love it.....except for the runway...they keep sliding off the front. Best Nest has worked great for our pullets. We have 50 in that bunch and it took a few days for them to figure out where they were supposed to lay. Now they seem to love it. We love it too because the eggs are clean and undamaged. Wish we had known about Best Nest years ago.

You nest box is the most well engineered and manufactured piece I have put together in a very long time. Everything fit perfectly, all the holes matched up and there were even extra fasteners. It took me a little more that 40 minutes to assemble and that was due to the fact that I didn't read through the instructions all the way before I started so when I got to the end I discovered that I could turn the top part around so the chickens cold enter from the rear, my fault.

Very good nesting box, can skip a day or two while camping. Come back and the eggs are stored and out of the way of the chickens.

These are definitely the best nesting boxes I've used. I have 4 large nesting boxes for about 100 layers.

I was building my backyard chicken coop at my new house after loosing my home in the California fires. Fortunately I ran across the Best Nest Box as I researched innovative and clean egg laying quarters for my girls. I had a very cool chicken coop before but new I wanted to design an even better one for easy collection and clean egg laying. The Best Nest Box was very easy to assemble, very clean, and looks like it’s going to be a great system. My Best Nest Box is incorporated in to my coop with the collection tray reversed so anyone can easily help themselves to fresh free range organic eggs. I have a sloped concrete floor under the coop with subfloor doors that swing open for easy periodic cleaning. Next steps are automation for their doors, a clean no waste feeding system, and of course video surveillance which will also be incorporated in the Best Nest Box just as it is in their brooder which keeps them the perfect temperature! My first batch of girls arrived from Meyer Hatchery and they are going to be happy with their new digs and their Best Nest Box. Thanks Best Nest for a great product.

Although hunting for chicken eggs was fun when you were a kid, it isn’t so much fun when you’re trying to collect them as part of a daily routine. Save yourself the headache of playing “where did my ladies hide them today” and buy a rollaway Best Nest Box. You’ll be able to find eggs in the same spot each and every day, and even better ... they will be in perfect shape and not covered in dirt or worse! I love my Best Nest Boxes!

Excellent Quality. Easy Assembly. - The craftsmanship of this nest box is second to none. Every hole lined up. There were no sharp edges. Very nice hardware for assembly and the instructions were well written with pictures for illustration. Even the packaging was well thought out and survived the UPS shipping process with no damage whatsoever to the nest box itself. Whoever designed this nest box did a fantastic job and the quality and craftsmanship demonstrate how much pride they take in producing this product.

Construction was as marketed, installation was easy. Sorry, but had to go out and purchase a automatic nest opening device. Would have purchased from your team but was not and option. This is a very nice product but doesn't stop that brooding hen.....
